13 case based courses (CC), 5 independent studies (IS) & 2 workshops (WS) :
All the Case-study based courses & Independent Study courses can be
completed in two methods: 1) by submitting ASSIGNMENTS or 2) by
participating in ONLINE SESSIONS
Details on Study Methodology & Evaluation methodology for each course type is given in next slides
Each session will be initiated, moderated and evaluated by a faculty member of ICFAI University.
Total time for discussion for each standard course will be 30 days.
Complete participation from the start to end of a session is mandatory for evaluation.
The concept notes of the course will be posted on the forum. (Alternately, students may also
study the concept notes from the books provided to them.) After 2 days, a short quiz based on
the concept notes will be answered by the students, which will have a weightage of 10% in the
total evaluation. The concept notes quiz will comprise of a few questions with multiple choices
and has to be answered online.
A total of 10 cases will be put up for discussion one after the other. These cases will be chosen
from the list of cases in that particular subject already provided in the book form. The 10 cases
will be pre-determined by the faculty. Each case will be discussed comprehensively and
conclusively for a period of two days. The quality and frequency of participation in the
discussion is the most important aspect for evaluation of students and it will carry a weightage
of 75% of the evaluation.
At the end of the discussion of all the 10 cases, students will have to answer questions based
on the cases taken up for discussion. This quiz, carrying a weightage of 15%, will also be online.

this
Discussion on PPTs: will be carried out for 5 days. This discussion is to ensure that the
understanding from the articles is along accepted lines. A weightage of 20% will be given for
this.
