books and study, light vacation homework has been given. You are kindly requested to motivate

2. Report Writing
1. Write a report on the inauguration of a Gymnasium in your society laying stress on
themaintenance of physical fitness.
2. A group of students from your class visited a Planetarium. The visit was educational as well as
entertaining one. Draft a report of the same.
3. Write an e-mail to your friend regarding your preparation for your final Exam.
4. You have visited a village fair recently. Write a report giving an account of how you enjoyed it.
5. You are representing your school in a Blood Donation Camp. Make a note of all that you observe
there. [Objective – doctors – attendants- instruments- donors]

3. Letter Writing
1. Write a letter to the Chairman of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation about the nuisance of
stray animals – the dogs, cows in your locality.
2. You are Bharat Shah. Write a letter to your friend Shyam telling him about the dangers of drug
addiction Give him some useful warnings and advise.
3. The park in front of your house has been illegally occupied by some people. They have set up
temporary dwelling and are a security threats to the colony residents. Write a letter to the
President of Residents Welfare Association drawing his attention to this threat.

4. There has been an increase in the number of Mosquito-borne diseases like Malaria and dengue
in your society. Write a letter to the editor of a National daily giving your analysis of the
situation and suggestions to check the problem.

5. You are Amala/ Amitabh. You happened to take part in a medical camp organized by health
club of your school in a remote area of Ahmedabad. You are surprise to find that most of the
people there have no awareness of basic health and hygiene. As a concerned citizen, you
decide to take up their cost and organize camps to make the villagers aware of importance of
hygiene. Write a letter to the editor of a newspaper expressing your concern.
 4. Story Writing : Write a story in about 150 to 200 words and give a suitable title:
1. “I jumped out of the bed at midnight..........”
2. “I hit a six and the ball flew over the wall, It was an old, derelict building. As i went to get the
ball ...........”

3. “As Rita moved out of the mall, she realized that her younger brother was left behind. She
