THE THREE LITTLE PIGS
NOVIANA HUMAIRA
XI IPS 1 / 23
There was once a family of pigs. The mother pig was very poor, and so she sent her three little pigs out to seek their fortunes. One pig built a house of straw . "It will only take a day,' he said. The others disagreed "It's too fragile," they said but he refused to listen. While the second pig built his house with sticks. It took him two days to nail them together. They built their houses very quickly and then sang and danced all day because they were lazy. The third little pig worked hard all day and built his house with bricks " It takes time, patience and hard work to build a house that is strong enough to stand up to wind, rain, and snow, and most of all, protect us from the wolf!" The days passed, and the wisest little pig's house took shape, brick by brick. From time to time, his brothers visited him, saying, "Why are you working so hard? Why don't you come and play?" But the stubborn bricklayer pig just said "no". "I shall finish my house first. It must be strong. And then I'll come and play!" A big bad wolf saw the two little pigs while they danced and played and thought, What juicy tender meals they will make!
The big bad wolf went to the first house. Little pig, little pig, let me come in. To which the pig answered No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin. The wolf then answered to that Then Ill huff, and Ill puff, and Ill blow your house in. So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, The frightened little pig ran to the second pigs house that was made of sticks. "Come back!" roared the wolf, trying to catch the pig.
The big bad wolf now came to the second house. Little pig, little pig, let me come in. To which the pig answered No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin. The wolf then answered to that Then Ill huff, and Ill puff, and Ill blow your house in. So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in. Now, the two little pigs were terrified and ran to the third pigs house that was made of bricks. So the wolf came, as he did to the other little pigs, and said, Little pig, little pig, let me come in.
To which the pig answered No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin. The wolf then answered to that Then Ill huff, and Ill puff, and Ill blow your house in. Well, he huffed, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and huffed; but he could not get the house down. When he found that he could not. The three little pigs were safe inside. He tried to enter through the chimney but the third little pig boiled a big pot of water and kept it below the chimney. The wolf fell into it and died. The two little pigs now felt sorry for having been so lazy. They too built their houses with bricks and lived happily ever after.
