-For a gyst, I’m honestly confused if I’m already fine with how I look. Part of me wants to
maintain my body figure and part of me wants to become lighter. I would also not lie that I have
a lot of insecurities in my body but besides that, I’m learning to accept and embrace them. I will
further explain about this on the latter part.

Getting control of my weight:
Write a description of your body, how you feel about it, and how well you take care of it.
- I could say that my body is not as ideal as everyone’s expectation of an “ideal body”, I am
neither too light nor too heavy as given the fact that my body mass index (BMI) is normal. I weigh
56 kg and I am 5.2ft tall. I have broad shoulders which I consider one of my insecurities. My waist
line is 30 given that I become bloated so easily. Nonetheless, I have a good hip measure of 39, it
is honestly why I am still confident with my body.
Regarding with how I feel about my body, it is already given that we all have insecurities
within our body and that’s pretty normal because no one is perfect. At some point, I look at in the
mirror and realize that I have a lot of things that I’d like to change about my body but I also come
to think that, what else can I do with it when it is already there? Just like in fairy tales, we don’t
have fairy godmothers to ask for something impossible to happen in just a blink of an eye. What I
did is, I just took care of my body by accepting and embracing my flaws. It was not right away, it
was a process but no matter how hard the process is, you will surely get there!

Conclusion:
- I therefore conclude that my vital statistics are normal, given that my weight is 56, height
is 157.5cm, waist is 30, and hips is 38. In this activity, I was able to understand my body
profile. Given the fact that I gain and lose weight moderately, I was able to describe my
appearance and how is my personal potential for weight loss and weight gain. Aside from
those things mentioned, I was also able to recognize how my family’s health affects mine
especially my parents’ health. There will be a great possibility that I will inherit their
diseases. With that being said, I always try to eat and live healthy not only to get rid of the
diseases, but also, as a student nurse I need to influence the people around me to live
healthy.
