Good morning, ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome!

to our Panel Discussion, today we are tackling the problem of

overusing Ai or Artificial Intelligence.
Please welcome, Margaret Hamilton. Graduated in BS in Software engineering and is now working for linux.
Next we have Andres Silang Bonifacio, Bachelor of history and philosophy and is currently a Master teacher l
teaching Araling Panlipunan. And last but not the least Lidel Pontillo as our eye witness from the field of
learning, a high honor awardee.

Conclusion
At the end of the day, AI is just a tool — it has its ups and downs. It can make our lives easier, help us learn,
and solve big problems, but relying on it too much can make us lose our creativity and critical thinking. As
students and future leaders, it’s important that we learn to use AI wisely, not as a replacement for our minds,
but as a support for our growth.

Will AI tools like easy generating or proofreaders be considered cheating?

NOT USUALLY
- Personal Aid > Can help us understand grammar, improve vocabulary, or et feedback on writing.
- Draft Improvement > AI can help improve your work after you’ve written it
- Allowed Use
YES
- Submitting AI as your own
- Using when Prohibited > Can destroy your academic honesty record
- Plagiarism risk > When AI gives you uncited documents (rare but possible) and present them as your own

Can AI Make Learning More Fun? — Yes!

AI can:

 Turn lessons into games (like quizzes, flashcards, or interactive simulations).

 Give instant feedback, making it feel more like a conversation than a lecture.

 Personalize the experience, adapting to your pace and style—so it never feels too boring or too hard.

 Use creativity (like making poems, jokes, or stories) to explain lessons in a more interesting way.

Example: Learning math through an AI chatbot that turns problems into puzzles or story challenges makes it
feel like a game, not just homework.

Can AI Teach Us New Things? — Definitely!

AI can:

 Explain complex topics in simpler ways (like how ChatGPT breaks down hard subjects).

 Give step-by-step help in subjects like science, writing, coding, and even art.

 Answer questions instantly, any time of day.

 Expose you to different languages, cultures, and ideas, helping you learn beyond what textbooks
cover.

Example: Curious about space? AI can explain black holes, suggest videos, quiz you on facts, and even generate
a creative story about astronauts.

How AI Adaptive Learning Helps Students Learn More Effectively:

1. Personalized Learning Paths

o The system adjusts lessons based on your strengths, weaknesses, and pace.

o If you’re fast in math but slow in reading, it gives more support in reading and lets you move
ahead in math.

2. Real-Time Feedback and Support

o AI gives instant corrections or suggestions, helping you understand mistakes right away.

o No need to wait for a teacher to review—it helps you as you go.

3. Focus on Mastery

o It doesn’t just move forward because time is up; it ensures you’ve mastered a topic before
advancing.

o This builds a stronger foundation.

4. Keeps Students Engaged

o Content adjusts to be neither too easy nor too hard.

o It uses interactive tools like videos, quizzes, and games to make learning more enjoyable.

5. Data-Driven Insights

o AI tracks your progress and gives reports to both students and teachers.

o This helps identify problem areas quickly and suggests solutions.

❌ Can AI Make Learning More Fun?

Opposing View:
Not always. AI can actually make learning feel less human and more robotic. Some students may find talking
to a chatbot boring, confusing, or even frustrating—especially when it doesn't understand context or emotions
well. The fun part of learning often comes from real teachers, classmates, or hands-on activities, which AI can't
fully replace.

❌ Can AI Teach Us New Things?

Opposing View:
AI can share information, but it doesn't truly teach like a human. It doesn’t always explain things clearly or
accurately, and it lacks empathy, critical thinking, and creativity that real teachers use to guide students. Plus,
AI depends on what it was trained on—so it might be outdated or limited in new areas.

❌ How Can AI-Powered Adaptive Learning Systems Help Students?

Opposing View:
While these systems promise personalized learning, they can sometimes over-rely on algorithms and miss the
human side of education. Not all students benefit from screen-based learning, and too much reliance on AI
may reduce opportunities for teamwork, discussion, or developing social skills. Also, privacy and data tracking
are concerns—student info might be collected without full understanding or consent.

❌ What Are the Disadvantages or Risks of AI-Powered Learning?

1. Loss of Human Connection – Students might feel isolated or unsupported without real teacher
interaction.

2. Overdependence – Learners might rely too much on AI for answers and not develop independent
thinking.

3. Unequal Access – Not all students have the devices or internet needed for AI learning.

4. Data Privacy – Student data could be collected, misused, or poorly protected.

5. Inaccuracy or Bias – AI systems might give wrong or biased responses without users realizing it.

While AI in education sounds exciting, it’s not always better. It can’t replace real-life teaching, and it comes
with risks that schools and students must carefully consider.
🤖 Is AI truly a threat?

Honestly, it depends on how people use it. AI isn’t a monster—it’s just a tool. But if students rely on it too
much, they might stop thinking for themselves. And if it takes over too many jobs in the future, that’s scary for
our generation. So yeah, it can be a threat, but it also has good potential if used responsibly.

✍️Will AI tools like easy generating or proofreaders be considered cheating?

As a student, I think it’s okay to use AI for checking or improving my work—but not to do it all for me. If I just
copy and paste what AI says, that feels like cheating. But if I use it to learn or make my ideas better, I think
that’s smart. Schools just need to make clear rules about it.

🎨 How can AI be used to enhance creative projects such as writing, arts, or music?

AI actually helps a lot with creative work. For example, when I have writer’s block, I can ask for prompts. If I’m
making music or art, AI gives inspiration, styles, or sounds I might not have thought of. It doesn’t replace
creativity—it adds new tools to my creative toolbox.

📚 Is AI useful for students?

Yes, totally. It helps with learning, organizing tasks, summarizing notes, and even practicing public speaking or
languages. It feels like a personal tutor that’s always available. But again, it works best when I combine it with
effort, not just depend on it fully.

🎮 Can AI make learning more fun?

For sure! Learning becomes more interactive with AI. I’ve used apps that turn lessons into games or let me
explore topics through simulations. It breaks the boring routine of just reading and memorizing. It’s like mixing
education with a little bit of play.

🌍 Can AI teach us new things?

Definitely. I’ve learned coding basics, new languages, and even facts about space through AI-powered apps.
What’s cool is I don’t have to wait for a teacher—it’s all there, any time I’m curious. Still, I think real teachers
are better when I need deep understanding or moral guidance.

🧠 How can AI-powered adaptive learning systems help students learn more effectively?
I like that it adapts to my level. If I’m struggling, it slows down and helps. If I’m ahead, it challenges me. It feels
personalized, not “one-size-fits-all.” That keeps me motivated and less stressed, because I’m not being
compared to others all the time.

🏭 What industries have seen the biggest positive impact from AI use?

From what I’ve read and seen, AI has helped a lot in healthcare, transportation, and tech. In healthcare, it’s
helping with faster diagnoses. In transportation, AI powers self-driving features. And in tech, it makes smart
apps and systems. As a student, it makes me think of future jobs and how I need to be ready for this AI-driven
world.

💬 Final Student Thought:

AI isn’t here to replace us—it’s here to assist us. But just like any tool, it depends on how we use it. If we use AI
wisely, it can make us smarter, more creative, and better prepared for the future.
