Advice
• Anatomy: Choose one textbook (BD Chaurasia or
Vishram सिंह) और एक नोट (Johari or Agam)।
• Physiology: Choose one textbook (AK Jain or GK Pal)
and one note (Physiocon, Sembulingam, Agam, or AK
Jain review).
• Biochemistry: Choose one textbook (DM Vasudevan
or Satyanarayana) and one note (Johari, Jambhulkar, or
Prasad).
Additional Notes
• CBME Competencies: Refer to NMC guidelines for
specific codes (e.g., AN1.1, PY2.11, BI6.1) to align
with exam expectations.
• Study Tips:
◦ Use diagrams (Anatomy), flowcharts
(Biochemistry), and tables (Physiology) from
chosen notes.
◦ Solve MCQs daily to test understanding.
◦ Integrate topics (e.g., link heart anatomy with
cardiac physiology and lipid metabolism).
• Revision Days: Focus on weak areas, practice
competency-based questions, and review summaries
from notes.

Tips for Effective Study

1. CBME Focus:
◦ Emphasize competencies (e.g., AN1.1 for Anatomy,
PY2.11 for Physiology, BI6.1 for Biochemistry).
Refer to NMC’s CBME guidelines.
◦ Practice clinical correlations (e.g., relate biochemical
pathways to clinical conditions like diabetes).
2. Textbook Strategy:
◦ Anatomy: Use BD Chaurasia for diagrams and
details, Vishram Singh for quick revision.
◦ Physophysiology: Start with AK Jain for concise
notes, use GK Pal for deeper understanding,
Sembulingam for clarity.
◦ Biochemistry: Use DM Vasudevan for concepts,
Satyanarayana for exam-oriented details.
3. Active Learning:
◦ Make flashcards for key terms (e.g., brachial plexus,
glycolysis steps).
◦ Draw diagrams (e.g., heart anatomy, TCA cycle) to
reinforce memory.
◦ Solve MCQs daily (use apps or question banks like
Marrow, Pre-PG).
4. Time Management:
◦ Stick to 1.5-2 hours per subject to avoid burnout.
◦ Take 5-10 minute breaks every hour.
◦ Use Pomodoro technique (25 min study, 5 min break)
if needed.
5. Revision Days:
◦ Review notes, highlight weak areas.
◦ Solve competency-based questions or past university
papers.
◦ Discuss with peers for better retention.

6. Integration:
◦ Link topics across subjects (e.g., study heart anatomy
with cardiac physiology and lipid metabolism).
◦ Focus on clinical relevance (e.g., biochemical tests
like LFTs with liver anatomy).
Notes
• This schedule assumes you’re starting with foundational
topics and progressing to system-based learning, aligning
with CBME’s integrated approach.
• Adjust the schedule based on your strengths/weaknesses
(e.g., spend more time on biochemistry if it’s
challenging).
• If you have specific exam dates or topics emphasized by
Dr. TNMGR Medical Board, let me know for a tailored
plan.
• For additional resources, consider online platforms like
Marrow or Dr. Najeeb’s lectures for visual learning.
• If you want me to generate charts (e.g., for metabolic
pathways or study progress), let me know explicitly.
This schedule should help you cover high-yield topics
efficiently while preparing for your exams. Good luck! If you
need further customization or have specific topics to prioritize,
feel free to ask.
