Chapter 16 Labor Day Duterte honors front liners, Robredo seeks 'concrete action' to address labor

issues

Introduction

The article being published by the “ Dilawan” funded network ABS-CBN goes “Labor Day:
Duterte honors front liners, Robredo seeks 'concrete action' to address labor issues”. The article for me
flaunt such bias towards the president in contrast to how they put appreciation to the ever “Epal”
Robredo.

Realization

I have learned that the publisher of the article is indeed showing such critic to the President
given that the tagline alone. Aside from the publisher's unrivaled criticisms of President Duterte, the
article discusses the unexpected impact of the pandemic on the country's labor sector, which the
publisher blames on Duterte. Furthermore, Duterte recognizes the difficult times we are currently
experiencing and has promised to work harder to improve the situation. Furthermore, the ever-
shameless and no-brainer Robredo mentioned having a concrete plan in place to address the problems
brought on by the pandemic. I find the article very helpful because it reminds me of how some Filipinos
still have the crab mentality and that, as an educator, I must create proactive actions that will further
support the government in making everyone's life much better in the Philippines.

Application.

Instead of simply blaming the government, I will lead a proactive protest that encourages my coworkers
to draw strength from one another and create a much more profound space of progress. Furthermore, I
believe it is critical to remind one another that there will be no solution to any problem if we only
identify the problems without moving on to the next step, which is to find solutions.
