COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course deals with the understanding of the roles of teacher as a person and as a professional within the context of national and global teacher’s standards, educational philosophies and legal bases. It includes knowledge
of core values that uphold the dignity of the teaching profession of the code of ethics for professional teachers and awareness and understanding of existing laws and jurisprudence governing professional rights, privileges
and responsibilities and teachers’ roles in the society a transformative change.

3 Units (1.5 hour lecture, 1.5 hour online activities, assessments, quizzes)

3 hours using Synchronous and Asynchronous learning platforms every week

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
1. Submission of hands-on activities, written exams/quizzes/task sheets, and projects should be on time. Students will be given sufficient time to complete an assigned task based on the timetable of
deliverables.

CLASS POLICIES
1. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that he/she is added to all course-related online platforms:
✓ Important announcements will be posted on Messenger Group Chat and Google Classroom that will be created by the facilitator of the course.
✓ There are 1.5 hours Synchronous session via Google Meet and 1.5 hours Asynchronous session via Google Classroom every week.
✓ Delivery of PDF Lectures/Modules/YouTube video links of the lessons will be done on Google Classroom. It is also the responsibility of the student to download the PDF lectures, watch the videos, or search for
the recommended resources and materials for this course.
✓ Assessments such as written exams/quizzes/task sheets and major examinations will be done on Google Classroom via Google Forms or Quizizz.
2. Prompt and effective feedback will be provided to students every week in order to guide them in achieving the desired outcomes.
3. Writing Expectations: All students are expected to turn in written work that is clear, concise, and with a minimum of spelling and grammatical errors. Proof reading is expected.
