of D grade in Chemistry. In addition, an
applicant must have a minimum of C grade
in Biology at O-Level.

Equivalent Entry: Diploma or Advanced

Diploma in Biomedical, Electrical,
Electronics and Telecommunication,
Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or
Computer Science with an average of
“B+” or a minimum GPA of 3.5. In
addition, an applicant must have a

Equivalent Entry: Diploma in

physiotherapy, Nursing, Clinical

of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must
have a minimum of “D”grade in Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics, English and

Occupational Therapy (BSc Three principle Pass in Biology, Chemistry
OT) and Physics at ‘A’ level with the minimum
of 6 points, Biology being Compulsory,
whereby one must have at least D grade in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Equivalent Entry:
Appropriate Diploma in Occupational
Therapy, Nursing, Clinical Medicine with
GPA of 3.0 or B grade or above

Medical Psychology Three principles Pass in Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at ‘A’
level, Biology being Compulsory.
Preference will be given to Applicants
with a B or higher grade in Biology and/or
Chemistry.

Equivalent Entry
Holders of a Diploma in Psychology,
Nursing, Clinical Medicine, or any other
health-related fields approved by the
University Senate with a GPA of 3.0 or B
grade or above. Credit passes at any grade
in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and
Mathematics at O level will be a
requirement.

9 Doctor of Dental Direct Entry: 1,700,000/= 5,672 5

Surgery (DDS) Three principle passes in Physics,
Chemistry, and Biology with minimum of 6
points: A minimum of D grade in
Chemistry, Biology and Physics

Equivalent Entry:
Diploma in Dental Health Sciences with an
average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have a
minimum of “D” grade in the following
subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics,
English and Mathematics at O-Level.

Dental laboratory Three principal passes in Physics,
Technology (BSc-DLT) Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum
of 6 points: a minimum of D grade in
Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
 Equivalent Entry
Diploma in Dental Health Sciences with
an average of B or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have a
minimum of a D grade in any five non-
religious subjects at O-Level
11 Bachelor of Direct Entry Three principal passes in 1,600,000/= 4,408 4
Pharmacy Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with
(BPharm) minimum of 6 points: A minimum of D
grade in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

Equivalent Entry: Diploma in

Pharmaceutical Sciences with an average of
“B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition,
an applicant must have a minimum of “D”
grade in the following subjects: Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, English and
Mathematics at O-Level.

Nursing (BSc Nursing) Physics, Chemistry and Biology at
Advanced (“A”) level with minimum entry
point of 8 points. Whereby one must have at
least C grade in Chemistry and Biology and
at least D grade in Physics

Equivalent Entry: Holder of Diploma or

Advanced Diploma in Nursing with a
minimum GPA of 3.5 or an average of B+
grade accredited by a relevant authority and
approved by the University Senate. The
candidate should have a certificate of
secondary education examination (CSEE)
with three passes in Biology, Chemistry and
Physics.

13 Bachelor of Science in Equivalent Entry: 1,400,000/= 3,612 4

Nurse Anasthesia (BSc
Nurse Anasthesia) Diploma in Nursing or Advanced Diploma
in Nursing Education with an average of
“B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition,
an applicant must have a minimum of “D”
grade in the following subjects:
Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics
and English at O-Level.

14 Bachelor of Science in Equivalent Entry: 1,400,000/= 3,612 4

Midwifery (BSc Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Nursing
Midwifery) and Midwifery with an average of “B’’ or a
minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an
applicant must have a minimum of “D”
grade in the following subjects:
Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics
and English at O-Level.
The applicant must be registered by the
Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council
 with a valid license to practice.

15 Bachelor of Science in Direct Entry: A minimum of three principal 1,700,000/= 5,672 4

Environmental Health passes at “A” level in the following subjects:
Sciences (BSc EHS) Chemistry, Biology and Physics OR
Mathematics OR Nutrition OR Geography
OR Agriculture with a minimum of 6 points.
Whereby one must have at least C grade or
above in Chemistry and at least D grade in
Biology and E grade in Physics or
Mathematics or Nutrition or Geography or
Agriculture.

Equivalent Entry:
Diploma in Environmental Sciences with an
average of “B’’ or a minimum
GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must
have a minimum of a “D” grade in the
following subjects: Biology, Chemistry,
Physics, English, and Mathematics at O-
Level.
