Severe thunderstorm activity
1- 1-leaving madrid to marselle after 25 min of flying the a/c suffer a severe thunderston
the crew requests a 180° right turn to avoid it . Doing so the bank angle increases and
the nose pitches down .as he tries to recover the a/c experiences high loads.
2- Madrid control making 180° right turn the bank angle increases and the nose pitches
down and we’re experiencing high loads.
3- in this situation I would declare emergency reduse speed and trey to land at the nearest
airoport
A drunken male passenger
1- Leaving from ROME after 5 hours of flying a drunken passenger harasses women
passanger when she did not another passage intervene but in vain unsuccesstully
finally the capitain decides to go back to ROME and removed the two men.
2- The crew should have handcuffed the drunken passanger and watched him until they
arrived.
3- In my opinion this kind of situation be prevented by making alcohol test before
boarding and to prohibit serving alcohol on board
A hysterical man leapt from his seat
1- While the plane is taxing a hysterical man wants to leave the plane and also to get into
the cockpit but in vain he then open an emergency exit finally the pilot decides to stop
the plane.
2- If I had been a passenger on this flight I would : Have helped the crew members to
control the man until they ask for assistance
3- I think these types of incidents are increasing because of alcohol and drugs addiction;
mentally ill people and because some people have never flown before.
Smoke coming from an airplane lavatory
1- After 02 H of flying the crew noticed and smelled smoke coming from the
lavatory,they put on oxygen masks, the smoke dissipated after they emptied of fire
extinguisher the the capitain declared emergency and landed safely.
2- When the lavatory door was opened,the smoke filled the whole aerea.
3- In my opinion emergency procedure training is very important because it enables us
deel with emergencies efficiently and appropriately
Vibration in the engine N3
1- On the way to VANCOUVER we felt the was the vibration, we shut down the engine
N3,we wented to divert,but the weader is bad, finaly we landed safely and believed
that it was the bird strike.
2- Diversion to ANCHORAGE was canceled because of bad weather.
3- To prevent bird strike,we should delay takeoff or landing.the aeroport management
uses radar or strong lights and sound to score the birds and keep them away.we even
use falcons.
