CHAPTER ONE

1.0 INTRODUCTION

Casual dress

Casual dress is a western dress code that's relaxed, it’s occasional spontaneous and suited for

everyday use. It keeps women look stylish and fresh without sacrificing their comfort.

1.1 Background of the Study

Casual code encourage employees to wear comfortable, light, weight clothing to work casual.

Lighter-weight clothing made of natural fibres that breathe like cotton and linen would require

less forced air cooling and would be more appropriate for cool business with this context in mind.

I initiated this research project as a response to casual dress. Climate change has significant

impact on all aspects of life ranging from customers Shopping behavior to cooperate business

practices. Today consumers are becoming more aware of globalwarming and issues of

sustainability that might help alleviate the crisis. They are reducing the use of fossils fuels,

buying fuel efficient auto-mobiles using solar or wind technologies to powertheir home and

survey commissioned. They revealed that near one-fifth of the consumer s interviewed were

willing to purchase more eco-friendly products in future.

Alongside with the rise of individual awareness many counties have been reassessing their own

business practices within industry and the corporate one of the areas were conscious efforts are

being made in the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. The ministry of span introduced the

1
(cool biz) initiative to reduce energy consumption. Mandating the lowering of

thermostat temperature to 28°c in air conditioned workplace. The proposed dress is

useful for a graduate students who want to learn. It can be worn into highheels or

wearing a dark suit .It has influences on the perception of viewers whether students or

outsiders is more than just a wearing. The clothing has been used as a signifier to

maintain, express and construct individual and organizational identity. It has a powerful

and non-verbal communicator in today's human business arena. Individuals use dresses

as a symbol to engage and excited their role schemata in an organization.

Many impression formation literature reports that appropriate dress and appearance in the work

place yields . positive or favourable interpretative inferences plays an important role in one's

career, wearers can use appropriate casual attire to manage and influence impressing of others

and the consistent appearance of dress could be important role on membership as well as

hierarchical levels within an organization. The appearance of a person may reflect his or her

attitudes of respect for the company colleagues and clients.

1.2 Statement Of The Problem

The casual dress models are used to study clothing and human behavior like dressing. This

wearing sexualized clothing can affect how ladies dress. To affect individuals mood and emotion

influence attitude towards church standards for actual clothing behavior.

2
1.3 Objectives of The Study

 To apply skills taught in schools

 To initiate new fashion ideas into the market
 To design a dress that is comfortable, beautiful and affordable.

1.4 Hypothesis/Research Questions

In order to generate some meaningful and practical guidelines, a number of questions were raised

to direct and guide this study. What type of clothing is appropriate for business settings? What

are the consumers? Perceptions and attitude toward traditional/formal business attire? What

clothing attributes should be considered for business casual dress? How do white collar workers

perceive and respond to business casual? Do consumers perceive eco-friendly attribute as a

salient factor when they purchase business casual?

1.5 Rationale and Significance Of The Study

Business attire has changed significantly over the years the last 20 years .Too many people have

forgotten why proper business attire is important. Some companies prefer to allow and even

encourage employees to dress freely for casual and forcomfort. This trends to work well in more

creative work environments. Other companies will typically encourage and require a more defined

and professional dress code to maintain a

3
professional image of themselves and business where employees routinely interact on a daily

basis with prospects , clients and business partners. Conflicts arise when employees prefer to

dress comfortably or in the most recent styles rather than realize the importance for them to

present themselves in more professional or conservativemanner.

It presents a visual image and sends a message that the employees are professional. Dressing in

proper business is important in business world because you never know when you'll be required

to meet with someone from outside your company. Your image to these outsiders will be the

image of your company that is remembered. That image could indirectly mean the difference

between securing a new deal , contract or sale and losing the opportunity to make that deal. It

varies somewhat by industry therefore the correlation between the two is strong. Appearance

ranked only to communication skills when respondents named qualities most often associated

with professionalism. Matthew Randall, executive director of CPE said how on individual dress

for work can be powerful extension of his or her personal brand, clothes accessories and

footwear an employeechooses to wear help to reinforce or diminish his skills and qualities in

eyes of employer, co- workers and clients.

It's is important to get attention for great work rather than gaining attention for great work Rather

than gaining attention for weaving latest fashion fad or in appropriate leisure wear or sportswear

found outside the office at sports event party or beach

4
Casual Friday's have the potential to turn into real fashion disasters .To remember that the

workweek has not ended on Thursday and that the images and messages set on Friday must be

consistent with each of the previous days of the week

This be comfortable applies to the fit of your attire and the comfort of the shoes you wear

comfort needs to Trump fashion in the choices made.

1.6 Conceptual/Theoretical Framework

The development of conceptual framework of casual dress clothing evaluative criteria

preferences during purchasing decisions that includes body shape, personal values and emotions.

Consumers make decisions such as the clothing purchasing decision based on their own

established inferences on the goals they want to achieve behind a purchase .The evaluation of

clothing products can be individual consumption oriented task purchasing decision is

fundamental to developing consumer responsive strategies in highly competitive clothing

industries moreover understanding consumers differences needs and desires requires market

knowledge and excellent marketing concepts that can be applied to designing and producing

clothing products.

The purpose of the study is to discover the major valuables that may be important in female

clothing purchasing decisions. The results through exploratory will describe how female

consumers make decisions may be useful to management interested in marketing clothing. This

chapter presents concepts that guide this research various factors that influence female

consumers during pre-purchase alternative evaluation phase of the decision making including

Enger Blackwell and Minard.

5
1.7 Scope

Casual dresses must be appropriate, clothes that are typical in workouts and outdoor activities

aren't allowed. Must project professionalism, too revealing or inappropriate aren't allowed. All

employees must be clean and in good shape, discernible rips tears or holes aren't allowed. Must

avoid clothes with stamps that are offensive or inappropriate. Casual dresses should be noted on

their appearance matters when presenting our company in front of clients, visitors or other

parties. An employee appearance can create a positive impression that reflects on our company

and culture.

6
CHAPTER TWO

2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW

This chapter will evaluate the available literature in casual dress .It will critically analyze the

information gathered by identifying gaps in current knowledge by showing limitations of

theories and points of view and formulating areas for further research and reviewing areas of

controversy

2.1 Discussing the Existing Design Literature

Ayako Homma 5/24/2019

Casual attire became more acceptances in an increasing number of social setting in the US. This

trend is perhaps most obvious the office. Rather than just casual Friday. Casual dress seems to

have transitional into more of an everyday practice. Consumers now have greater freedom to

decide what to wear to the office. Millennial generation has entered the workforce and has

reshaped the ideal workplace environment including dress codes. Millennial prioritize work-life

balance and prefer a more relaxed work environment. As this generation now represents a

sizable portion of working population in the US. Companies are re-evaluating their cooperate

cultures more so then it's name . Adapting corporate policies to their preferences is important.

The ride of at leisure and the growing concern for health and wellness are also driving forced

behind changes in cooperate dress codes. These trends have certainly lifted the demand for more

7
Versatile performance apparel and footwear as more consumers prefer clothes that are suitable

for multiple occasions including work travel and even social gatherings. As a result sports

inspired clothing and footwear on the market are suitable for more occasions including work

sportswear Brands are benefiting casual dress casually trend . Gap Inc. introduced the Hill City

men's active wear Brand which seeks to offer versatile piecessuited for the entirely of urban

men's active lifestyle. Another premium men's performance apparel brand, Rhone introduced a

commuters dress shirt as part of it’s commuter collection.

2.2 Critique Of Existing Design/Literature

Robert's and Horyn, have a hand up on many bloggers in casual dress now, experience and

longevity asks that how you step your fashion critiquing skills when you started getting your

footing of casual dress. Diana Chan of AMD law group suggests doing your homework on the

fashion just like casual dress critiquing you can't base your assessments solely on it's

appearance. Critically analyse thework that went into fashion project or collection. Has there

been growth since the last collectionor are they applying it safe? .What colours, cuts,

dimensions, inspirations, shapes or placementsdid the design use? Michael Robert's considered

a member of fashion world's aristocrats ,he has a deep understanding of casual dress going as a

deep as fashion education in clothes construction towhat's happening in European or America

fashion at all times

8
Raf Simon's decides to take the creative director job at Dior which is his opinion stopped a

promising fashion designer from achieving his full potential. The problem with clothes for

clothes sake is that might like them but the transaction from a good idea into something to wear

is often forgotten. Gunn Gently guides the designer to understand the importance of grasping

the reasons why a design didn't work . He'll often try to find out what the designer is aiming to

accomplish to get a sense of what the objective was .He does this in order to determine if they

first of all had a vision. If they are on the right track and lastly getting them back on course to

make it work if they're a little lost.

2.3 Evaluation Of Proposed Design/Literature

Casual dress has fasteners, trimmings, pockets, control of fullness, sleeve, neckline. They keep

women look stylish and fresh without sacrificing their comfort. To work comfortable so as to

project a professional image to customers and clients. To create clothes which are not expensive.

To access on how to dress for success for my work environment. To focus on how your clothes

and designs fit out and if the individuals look up together.

2.4 Summary Of Gaps Identified

apparel organization to conduct global skills survey to take the pulse of fashion industry and

access level of investment in skills by apparel companies. The results are revealed n state of

skills in apparel industry of 2020 special report.

9
The report represents views of 900 apparel professionals from across the value chain . Survey

suggested that while there's clearly still a need for strong fundamental skills like apparel costing

sourcing supply chain management. Most large companies have turned to up killing their

workforce while more smaller and mid-sized. Companies are looking to higher in new skills.

who are able to re imagine roles andprocesses and work differently. C.E.O of motif Catherine

cole said in a press release. This may be distractive process. We need people with new blend of

skills. This is the time to re imagine and reinvent roles within companies and within careers.

4.0 DISCUSSION OF THE FINDINGS

The researcher hopes the findings will increase wearer’s options because they can study

recurring tumors to find how they evolved. The findings come as no surprise since the average

price stands at many times earnings. That there double payments for the same services as casuals

were recruited to perform services out sourced by the county. The most casuals did not have

basic skills required for the jobs they were engaged to perform.

22
4.1 Evidence Of Data Analysis Using Tables/ Charts, Graphs Etc

This study will summarize collected data. It will involve the interpretation of data gathered

through use of analytical and logical reasoning to determine patterns, relationship or trends.

4.2 Conclusion Based On The Research Findings

From this study it can be concluded that imported new clothes, local ready made have better fit

than second hand ones. As for satisfaction about the fit of youth and young adults, It was found

that the respondents were satisfied. Youth and young adults prefer to dress on fitting and semi

fitting casually. Can also be concluded that adults will want their body measurements to be taken

and size labels presented with Clear and sizable information. Can also be concluded that middle

adolescents stage of 20% wearers guided the selection of casual clothes.

4.3 Recommendations Related To The Findings And Demonstrating Resolution Of

Identified Gaps

The direction towards the importance of dress should be under cognizance of a teacher especially

for the classes maybe either a professional or even appear to be professional outlook. Seemingly

teacher profession is encompassed on lot of body movement hence different categories of dress

ware were casual with respect to their researchers and evidential support. Depending on the

esthetic look, however teachers should dress decently so that students shouldallow them in all

aspects without any doubt. A very positive out look is quite necessary owing to the self respect

or even for workinginstitution. A good go- to- go comfortable wearers, neutral as mix and

match, avoid skin revealing dresses, Clean or any dress for more put together
