Mother Durga should be performed in South (S) Zone only. Similarly, one should place
puja altars of different Devtas in the 16 Vastu Zones as per the respective zones
governed by them.
• In the NORTH Vastu zone, ensure that blue is the main colour and wavy shapes
predominate. Shades of red will negate the goodness of this zone. Do not keep triangular
shapes here as decoration. Do not locate the kitchen or bathroom here, or place the
dustbin, broom, washing machine, mixer-grinder here. The kitchen represents fire and
will dilute money, opportunities and career. Triangular shapes will benefit you here. The
bathroom and sink represent waste disposal and will flush/drain away wealth and career.
Keep a money plant in a green vase, or hang a scene showing a lush field or thick forest-

because Lord Kuber, the God of Wealth, resides in this direction.

to dump the waste. And the activity of dumping or throwing away, as per MahaVastu,

• For example, if a bin is kept in the zone of education, children at home will start losing

• Check Entrance – Location of Entrance in a home has its own effect on the lives of the
residents. When it is located in between WEST- NORTH-WEST directions, it leads to
depression. Vastu suggests painting it in white colour to overcome its bad effects.
• Check Bedroom – Bedroom is the place where a person spends more than 6-8 hours a
day. So, it has maximum effect on the mental state of the person. Avoid placing it in the
zone of depression and low moods – WEST-NORTH-WEST. When a person regularly

• Effect of Colours – Colours give quick results. Avoid putting blue colour in South and
Red or Orange colours in NORTH-EAST as they generate negative thinking and low self-

An entrance located in between SOUTH - SOUTH-WEST directions leads to no result of

efforts, wastage of money and mounting debts. There are two entrance locations in each
of the cardinal directions which grant abundance of money. Specially, one located in the
NORTH-EAST grants higher Bank Balance.
• Placement of Toilet – If you are not able to save money despite having a good income.
Check if the toilet in your house is located in the West or in West-South-West direction?
Because that will drain all your savings. If it is so, you need not demolish it. Just paint
yellow colour there and you will experience magical increase in your savings.
• Placement of Safe/Locker – Right placement of Safe (place to keep money) in your
house is vital for saving money. Natural attribute of West-South-West direction is
accumulation. So, the ideal location to keep a Safe is in between West and South-West

doors should open towards EAST.
• Material of Safe/Locker – Safe should preferably be made up of Iron or Steel. But care
must be taken while placing it. Steel Almirah or Safe must be placed in WEST direction

studies. Again, if you have a bedroom in SOUTH-SOUTH-WEST (SSW) zone of your
home, you will start losing your body vitality and in the long run, it could prove fatal.
Apart from this, if the balance of five elements is disturbed in your home, you will face
health problems. For example, if you have a Granite slab in your Kitchen for more than
15 years, then the female cooking food in this kitchen is very much likely to develop a
tumor in her lower abdominal area. It is scientifically explained in detail in the MahaVastu

For WEST facing house living room can be in NORTH-WEST direction. Color of the walls
in living room should be light. White, cream, yellow, orange, green, blue all in lighter

larger as well. Placement of furniture in living room should be in SOUTH-WEST and west
direction. Owner of the house should always sit in SOUTH-WEST or WEST direction
facing either NORTH-EAST or EAST. Reason is that sun rays and fresh air from east and
north direction ensures positivity. Furniture should be rectangular or square and there is
always some space left between wall and furniture to ensure the free flow of air.
Placement of furniture should be done in a way that it should appear uncluttered and
allows free movement of the dwellers. Avoid seating area under a beam as it can
increase your stress. Better idea is to conceal the beam with false ceiling. All the
electronic and electrical gadgets should draw power from socket placed in east or

• AC, cooler should be placed in WEST direction as west of the house becomes hot
during the day. Fireplace all things related to fire or heat should be placed in SOUTH-
EAST direction as this direction represents Agni or Fire element.
• As they say ‘We become what we behold’. Paintings we put up in living room evoke
strong sentiments. Thus keep in mind that paintings should always be calming, positive
and uplifting. Picture of Sun or nature should be hung on EAST wall, painting of waterfall
on the NORTH wall and painting that denotes strength like horses, mountain or
elephants should be hung on SOUTH or WEST wall. Always avoid paintings that depict
war, sadness, violence, death or have negative impact on our life.
• NORTHEAST zone of any plot should never be depressed, cut & rounded. The
SOUTHWEST zone should never be extended/raised/protruded.
• Any underground water source e.g. well bore well & Under Ground Water Tank etc. and
hole, slope of the earth & floor should be in the NORTH, EAST & NORTHEAST zone
only. Do not construct a septic tank in the NORTHEAST zone.

• Then the presence of a toilet in SW is one major and exceedingly effective reason for
pitra dosh. It leads to total destruction of the family members. Keep a family photograph
and a pair of lovebirds in this zone. Keep your ancestors’ pictures here. The colours
should be shades of white, off white and cream. A study, work room and bedroom are
fine here.
• You can ensure financial strength and balance by checking the west (capital and gains),
northwest (support), north (money and opportunities), south-east (initiating spark).
Money, opportunities, gains and capital will flow smoothly and a steady spark will be
present if these zones are in order. For instance, the main colour scheme in the SE

in north-eastern walls. This shall work as an article to expand that cut or reduced corner
and subsequently the presence and movement of ‘Yang’ (positive) energy shall

• Protection from south-west direction: If one has a south-west facing premises, use the
reflective glasses in the window panes located in south-west directions. They should give
the mirror effect from out side, not from inside. The glare from the exterior shall ward-off
the negative energy entering the house from the negative direction of south-west.
• For anti clockwise staircase: The staircase should always be turning clockwise while
going up, but if the staircase is wrongly built i.e. anti-clockwise, we can use a 2 X 4
square feet sized vertical mirror on the front wall inside the staircase. This shall revert
back the negative rotation to right turn, thus the defect shall diminish without making the
physical changes.
• Removal of the impact of negative toilets: The toilet should not be placed in north or
eastern directions. This brings ill fortune to the inmates. Even, if the toilet is located in the
Ishaan corner (north-east) this may ruin the entire family and renders to it hand to mouth
according to Vaastu Shastra. Therefore, in order to set-off the negativity of such a toilet,
fix up a full length mirror on the toilet’s door, outside the toilet. This shall bring in
something positive from the front side of the toilet, thus the negativities of the toilet shall
substantially come down.
• Remedy of wrongly placed ‘columns’: Sometimes the builder or civil contractor erects
the columns on the ‘Marma-sthan’ i.e. the most sensitive area of the premises. In most of
the cases the column or pillar is found in the extreme middle area of the house or
commercial hall. This central area is called the Bramha-sthan of the premises and even a
little load in this most sensitive part of the Vaastu-purush is enough to destruct the family
physically and financially. In such a case, wrapping of the mirror around such column
eases the position.
• Treat the ‘Shar-chi’ (negativity) of main entrance: If there exists an electric pole, a ‘T’
junction, a transformer, temple, Dharam Shala, jail, graveyard or ugly looking structure
just in front of your main entrance, then hang a ‘Pakua’ mirror (a round shaped convex
mirror used in ‘Fengshui, the Chinese art of Vaastu’) on the front wall of your building in
such a way that it faces the negative area defined here above.
• = Turning the negative facing of the building: If the main door or main entrance lies in
the ‘Yam’ or ‘Pitra’ area located in the middle of south or in south west and the entrance
starts from the south direction itself, one can use a mirror in front of entrance i.e. on a

wrongly placed entry.
• War scenes: War scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata should not be kept at
home. Such pictures and paintings depict rivalry among family members.
• Cactus or thorny plants: You should never plant or keep cactus in your home. Other
thorny plants except roses should also be removed.
• Negativity in Images: Pictures and paintings of trees without fruit or flowers, sinking
boats, nudes, fight scenes using swords, hunting scenes, indrajal (magic), captured
elephants and images like sad, weeping or crying people should not be hung inside your
home.
• Taj Mahal: Any showpiece or image of Taj-Mahal should not be kept at home. It is a
grave and symbolize death and passivity.
• Painting or statues of animals: The pictures, painting and statues of animals and birds
like pigs, snakes, asses, eagle, owls, bats, vultures, pigeons and crows etc. should be
avoided. Vastu recommends not to keep or display a single bird or animal in the couples
bedroom.
• Terrifying giants and demons: All pictures, wooden or metal figures of terrifying giants

Problem : I was not getting permotion / growth, even now i have lost job in month of aug.
Remidy : i painited 4 inch blue strip in both the toilet
I placed kuber, money plant in green bottle and placed lush green sceanry in north zone,
I kept my educational and job exp certificate in west zone.
