COLD SNAP COLLAR | by Plucky Knitter

We can’t forget our four legged buddies when the temperature drops! Here is an easy way to let the world know that your
pet deserves nothing but the best. After all, pets are Plucky too!

YARN GAUGE
• Plucky Knitter Snug Worsted (70% merino, 20% cashmere, • 26 sts and 28 rnds = 4" / 10 cm, in 1x2 Rib, unstretched, on smallest needles
10% alpaca; 230 yd / 210 m): Shown in Cassidy, 1, (1, 1)
skein. [Apprx 50 (80, 120) yd] FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• 9 (10, 13)" / 23 (25, 33) cm circumference by 4¼ (6¼, 7¾)" / 11 (16, 20) cm
MATERIALS tall, unstretched; fully expanded at top edge: 12 (14, 22)" / 30 (36, 56) cm*
• US 6 (4 mm), 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm) dpns, circumference.

SPECIAL STITCHES ABBREVIATIONS
1x2 Rib (in the round)

Feel free to adjust the number of stitches cast on and/or the number of chart
repeats worked to customize the size for your pet. Any number, divisible p: purl
by 6, will work for the cast on. Take a loose neck measurement, and then
choose the finished size that will fit most comfortably over the head and rem: remain
around the neck of your dog. To adjust the height, add/subtract Cold Snap
rep: repeat
Collar Chart repeats from the pattern. Since the finished piece is wider at
the bottom edge, the height should be tall enough for the collar to sit at rnd(s): round(s)
the shoulder.

DIRECTIONS
st(s): stitch(es)
Using smallest needles, CO 60 (72, 96) sts. Place marker, and join to work in
the round, being careful not to twist work. Work 1x2 Rib for 5 (8, 8) rnds.

Still using smallest needles, work rnds 1-6 of Cold Snap Collar Chart 1 time.

Change to next size larger needles, and work rnds 1-6 of Cold Snap Collar
Chart 2 (3, 3) more times.

Change to largest needles, and work rnds 1-6 of Cold Snap Collar Chart 0 (1,
2) more times.

Still using largest needles, work 1x2 Rib for 5 (8, 8) rnds.

FINISHING
Bind off in pattern, using your favorite stretchy bind off.

KEY
