About the Program
The M.Sc. (Integrated) Decision and Computing Sciences program at Coimbatore
Institute of Technology (CIT) is a unique five-year course that blends technology, data
science, and decision-making. Students are equipped with a strong foundation in programming,
data analytics, business intelligence, and applied computing, making them ideal candidates for
roles that require a cross-functional skill set.
Our curriculum emphasizes both academic and industry relevance, preparing students
to transition smoothly into professional environments. The program brings critical thinking,
team collaboration, and real-world problem-solving skills through a combination of classroom
learning and project-based experiences.
Importantly, students have already completed a 5-month internship as part of their
academic requirements in previous semester, providing them with valuable exposure to
industry practices, workflows, and professional environments. This prior experience enables
them to adapt quickly, contribute effectively, and understand corporate expectations.
Internship Requirement
As part of the academic structure, students are required to complete a 5-month full-
time internship in their final semester (December2025 – April 2026). This internship is
credit-based and mandatory for graduation.
Key Highlights:
Duration: 5 months (Full-time).
Mode: On-site, remote, or hybrid (as preferred by the organization).
Evaluated as part of the academic curriculum - Students bring prior internship experience
and are ready to contribute to core projects.

Placement Opportunities & Compensation
In addition to internships, we welcome direct full-time placement opportunities for
eligible students. Our department facilitates both individual company-specific placement
drives and pooled drives depending on interest and availability.
Our students have been offered packages under the following categories: -
1. General Offers: ₹1 – ₹4 LPA
2. Non-Dream Offers: ₹4 – ₹9 LPA
3. Dream Offers: ₹10 LPA and above
