1.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this method statement is to outline the procedures for safely and efficiently replacing
damaged in-situ MSE wall panels in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
2.0 SCOPE
This method is applicable to all MSE wall panel replacement works under the project, including
demolition, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, and finishing.

6.0 ASSOCIATED REQUIREMENTS
a) HSE Requirements
• Area to be barricaded.
• PPE to be worn at all times.
• Use of calibrated tools and certified machinery.
• Weather conditions monitored (work prohibited during rain, fog, high wind, or extreme
temperatures).
• Permit to Work and Toolbox Talks to be conducted.

7.0 PROCEDURE
a. General
• Ensure the availability of the following documents at the work site:
• IFC Drawings
• Approved Material Submittals

b. Panel Demolition
• Carefully mark and remove the damaged panel without disturbing backfill.
▪ Provide propping if necessary.
▪ Clean and stabilize the exposed area with patching mortar.
c. Reinforcement Installation
• Cut and install steel as per design.
• Connect new rebars to existing tie-strips.
• Install HDPE bearing pads in place.
d. Formwork Installation
• Assemble formwork matching existing panel dimensions and textures.
• Properly seal and brace the formwork.
• Provide inlet chute for concrete pouring.
e. Concrete Placement
• Pump self-compacting concrete gradually.
• Monitor flow to avoid overfilling.
• Ensure complete void-free filling.
f. Curing and Formwork Removal
• Apply curing compound after concrete placement.
• Remove formwork after concrete achieves the specified strength.
• Clean up and prepare the surface for finishing.
g. Finishing and Inspection
• Match surface finish with existing panels.
• Remove any burrs or marks.
• Perform visual inspection and record quality observations.
