Corsa D Reset/Program ECU(With Pics)

Q - What modules are involved in the ECU change?

A – The BCM/Immobiliser, SDM and IPC are involves in the ECU programming

Q – Can opcom/Vauxcom program a USED ecu?

A – Opcom/Vauxcom can program a USED ECU providing the donor ECU is

from the same engine code and has been reset before removal from the donor
car.

Q – Can opcom/Vauxcom program a NEW ECU direct from Vauxhall?

A – No because the ECU will need SPS updating to install the software – opcom
cannot do this.

Q – Ive not got my passcode for my car – what can I do?

A – You need to apply for the passcard from Vauxhall. You will need a V5 in
your name and 2 proof of ID’s. The passcard usually takes 48 hours and is
around £35.

Q – What can I do if the donor ECU has not been reset and I don’t have the
passcode?

A – If it is just an ECU by itself then you cannot use this unless you can have the
code pulled from the ECU EEPROM. (opcom does not support this).

Q – Can I still use the donor ECU if it has not been reset but has the passcode
with it?

A – Yes. You can fit it to your car and reset using the donor code – If this fails
then you need to reset the SDM, BCM and IPC one at a time and reprogram
them using the donor passcode and NOT the cars passcode. This will require
NEW keys and the keys reprogramming back to the immobiliser.

Q – I have reset my ECU and BCM/Immobiliser at the same time and when
trying to program my keys back in the procedure fails. Why does it do this and
how do I fix it?
A – This happens because the key data is stored in the BCM/Immobiliser and
the ECU. Normally the modules are reset/programmed one at a time and the
key data is transferred from the other module which keeps the same key data.
If you have reset both at the same time then you need to replace the keys with
NEW ones.

WARNING – Before resetting the ECU you must check that you can access the
BCM, SDM and IPC(instrument) and each system will accept your passcode. If
any of the systems do not accept the passcode DO NOT reset the ECU and see
further advice.

Connect your interface, turn on the ignition and start the

opcom/vauxcom program.

Program Injector> [Write all 4 codes down] (diesel models

only)
Reset ECU>[Enter security code]

You will get a message back confirming the reset is complete.

The car will now no longer start until the ECU is programmed.

The Immobiliser/BCM will now program the security code to
the ECU. You will get a confirmation message once it is
complete.

Exit the immobiliser /BCM and go back to the Engine section

and replace with original code and click “change”. Do each
injector one at a time – clicking change afterwards] – Diesel
models only (No programming is required for petrol
injectors)
Vehicle ID number programming>[Check VIN and program IF
needed]

Once you have completed the procedure you need to clear

ALL fault codes in ALL modules and exit the program and turn
the ignition off and disconnect the interface.

The procedure is now complete!

Troubleshooting

IF your car still will not start and you have a flashing spanner
light then check the keys are programmed to the BCM. If the
keys are programmed and are being seen then proceed to
further troubleshooting. If not reprogram ALL keys again.

If your will not start or car starts but has codes B3057, B3902
or B1016 stored in the IPC or SDM you need to reset the
modules one at a time and program them again. In most
cases the reset of these modules are not needed.
