Myth of Cronus

Cronus overthrew his father Uranus and became the new ruler. He ruled alongside his sister Rhea during a golden age, but he feared being overthrown by his own children as he had done with his father. Therefore, he swallowed his children as soon as they were born. However, when Zeus was born, Rhea hid him and deceived Cronus. When Zeus grew up, he forced Cronus to regurgitate his siblings and led a war against Cronus and the Titans.

Crono envied the power of his father and ruler of the universe,UranusThis had

gained the enmity ofGea, mother of Cronos and the other Titans, when she hid

he set a trap for him. When Uranus encountered Gaia, Cronos attacked him with
