GENERALINSTRUCTIONS
(i) 360°Feedback
1. The feedback obtained every year, till the date of eligibility of next stage, shall be taken as an average
ofallthe precedingyearsadded together requiredfor promotions.

2. In case the candidate fails to achieve the maximum feedback score, the subsequent year’s may be
takenintoconsideration whiledroppingthe lowest feedback scorein anyoneoftheyear.

(ii) Methodologyof PromotionforNon-engineering

Thequalificationsforpromotionsfor Non-engineering shallbeas per the UGC Notification No. F.1-


2/2017(EC/PS) Dated 18th July, 2018.

(iii) Faculty Members on deputation

Any Faculty Member on deputation to some Government Organization / Autonomous Bodies such as DTE
/AICTE/UGC/MHRD/DSTetc.onacademic/administrativepositionsshallbedeemedtohaveexperienceofacademi
csandacademicadministrationandbeexemptedfromtherequirementofFDP,IndustrialTrainingand360ofeedback
.Ifthefacultyhassecuredatleast VeryGoodrating,itshallbeconsideredequivalentto8pointson a10 pointscale
of360ofeedbackin referenceto thisnotification for theperiod ofdeputation.

(iv)MandatoryTeacherTrainings

(i) Every teacher appointed / promoted to any position here onwards with effect from the publication
ofthis gazette shall have to mandatorily undergo 8 online modules of MOOCs in SWAYAM as per
theAICTEteacher trainingpolicypreferablywithinfirstyearofservice.

(ii) No newly appointed faculty member shall be completing the probation without getting the
certificationof completion of these 8 modules. The teacher training policy document may be downloaded
from AICTEwebsite.
(iii) The requirement of completing these modules as envisioned in this gazette is applicable to all
theincumbent teachers also while applying for promotion / selection to next higher cadre only once in
thecareer.
(iv) Those who are eligible for promotions after the date of publication of this gazette, shall have to meet
thenecessary conditions such as additional qualification, undergoing industrial training, pedagogical
training,facultyinductionprogram,publishingresearchpapersetc.However,theserequirementsshallbepermittedtobe
fulfilled till 31st July, 2024 so as to enable faculty members in equipping them for requisite
mandatoryrequirementsofthisgazettetoavailthebenefitof promotionretrospectivelyfromthedateofeligibility.

Instruction to the Principal/Head of the Institution
1. Send proposal for each candidate separatelyfor easy verification.

2. Documents to be attached along with the proposal for promotion are

a. “Form of Option” from interested faculty members

b. Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Tech/B.E certificate (attested copies).

3. Principal shall circulate notice received from DCTE tothe teaching faculty, inviting proposal for CAS
promotion and the teacher may submit the proposals in the prescribed format.
4. After getting the applications from the Faculty, the Principal shall verify the filled application form
for all the entries and check supporting documents before forwarding the proposal to DCTE.

Instructions to the Faculty


1. Faculty can submit the application for promotion in the prescribed format separately for each
stage
2. Along with the filled application attested copies of the relevant/supporting documents should be attached.
3. Faculty due for Promotion before 7/11/2015shall be guided by AICTE CAS regulation 2012 without
API score. Faculty due for promotion on or after 8/11/2015 shall be guided by AICTE CAS regulation
2012 with API score. API score for faculty due for promotion on or after 8/11/2015 shall be applied
for the entire assessment period. The teacher shall submit separate Performa form for Category I and
II for each academic year whereas for Category III a single Performa showing the achievements for
the entire assessment period along with necessary supporting documents may be submitted.
4. Faculty members are advised to Follow the guidelines given by DCTE (as applicable) mentionedwhile
filling application form for CAS promotion.
