Preface

The concept of this book is to describe most surgical procedures that ophthalmologists perform. We have included
procedures with lasers as well as scalpels. We have listed the topics by anatomic regions as anterior chamber, choroid, etc.
We have listed diagnosis so that the practitioner may look up a condition such as corneal dystrophy and find indications
for surgery, surgical techniques, outcomes, and references. There is some overlap in surgical procedures that are used
for more than one diagnosis. You may consult the index for either diagnosis or surgical procedure. We are grateful to the
contributors for providing quality information and describing the appropriate surgical procedures for all of the chapters.
