Title: Abstract

The document presents the QAERB-RAMCC model, which enhances cloud resource allocation by integrating Quality of Service (QoS) parameters into a combinatorial double auction system. This model aims to improve user satisfaction and fairness in resource distribution while reducing potential SLA violations through effective monitoring. Testing within a Cloud-Auction simulation demonstrates a 10% increase in service allocation efficiency and improved user engagement compared to existing models.

Title:

Cloud-Based Resource Accounting with a Quality-of-Service-Enhanced Rank-Based Model for Real-Time Bidding

Abstract:
Cloud computing has changed the way that resources and services can be provided. This is observed through models
of dynamic pricing and bidding. However, this dynamic nature of pricing and bidding could be problematic when it
comes to successful and fair resource allocation. Problems could arise if resource allocation does not factor in QoS
to a high degree of effectiveness. Typical resource allocation models focus on the economic side or the efficiency
side, at best capturing a portion of user satisfaction and, at least in regards to cloud computing, the reliability of the
provider. In this paper, we introduce the model QAERB-RAMCC: Quality of Service Aware Efficient Rank-Based
Resource Allocation and Consolidation. Our model incorporates QoS parameters into an alternative combinatorial
double auction system. We apply the Analytical Hierarchy Process to rank cloud service providers one user at a time
based on multiple criteria such as price, service quality, and peer feedback, while obtaining useful user feedback
information on QoS after service completion each time. Ultimately, this approach builds provider rankings and
provides meaningful information to enhance future service resource allocations to reliable providers, and indirectly
improves on the user/satisfaction mechanism. The QAERB-RAMCC model has many benefits, it improves user
satisfaction by providing allocations based on cost and QoS requirements, reduces potential SLA violations by
providing monitoring, and promotes fairness of resources. We provide an effective, budget-balanced, incentive-
compatible approach that is transparent, so providers can be held accountable for their quality of service. The model
is tested within a Cloud-Auction simulation, which shows 10% increased efficiency of service allocation and
increase user engagement. The model also has better performance when benchmarked with existing models and for
validating provider reputation and enhancing long-term user satisfaction. This research considers cloud resource
allocation and contributes a model to balance provider utility, user demands, and service quality.
