E. Preliminary Steps
E.1. Remove the main rotor hub (MET 62-20-00-401).
E.2. On the rotor shafts (P/N 365A311179.03), remove the polyurethane impact-
resistant protection (transparent varnish), if any, from the zones 3 and 5 (Figure 1):
a. using a plastic knife , cut the polyurethane impact-resistant protection
lengthwise,
b. slide the plexiglass scraper [6912D11-0100-00] under the polyurethane impact-
resistant protection and debond it from the shaft. If necessary, gently hit with the
scraper.
