English Language Entry Requirements [September / October 2025 Intake Onwards]
Note: The authenticity of all English Language qualifications will be verified with the awarding body. We can verify the qualifications listed in Table 1 below. All
other qualifications listed in Tables 2 and 3 below will be verified through Qualification Check, unless we can verify them directly with the awarding body. Once the
applicant has been made a conditional offer and provided proof of the English Language qualification, we will make the applicant an Unconditional Offer and provide
the applicant with full details about how to submit the English Language qualification for verification through Bloomsbury Institute’s Qualification Check Portal.
General qualifications that we will verify
Note: We accept both centre-based and online tests for the following, unless otherwise stated:
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees Validity Period
IELTS for UKVI Academic 6.0 overall with all four skills at 5.5 or above
or
IELTS Academic
PTE Academic or Academic UKVI 59 overall with all four skills at no less than 59
LanguageCert International ESOL SELT B2 B2
LanguageCert Academic B2 overall [minimum 60%] with all skills at B2 [minimum 60%] or above 2 years before
course start date
Skills for English UKVI B2 [Psi Services (UK) Ltd] Pass
TOEFL iBT 79 overall: minimum in Listening 17; Reading 18; Speaking 20; Writing 17
LRN Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (IELCA CEF B2) Pass overall [at B2], and Pass [at B2] in each of the four skills
Oxford ELLT [Digital or Global] 6 overall with all four skills at 5 or above
Password Skills Plus Test [Online] 6.0 overall with all four skills at 5.5 or above
