Sample Annotated Portfolio for Teacher VI Applicant
This annotated portfolio sample is aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for
Teachers (PPST) and the National Classroom Observation Indicators (NCOI). It is designed
to support a Teacher VI application under the DepEd Career Progression 2025.

Indicator Description:
Demonstrates integration of content knowledge across learning areas to enhance learner
understanding and engagement.
Observed Practice:
During a Grade 6 Science lesson on ecosystems, the teacher integrated concepts from
Mathematics (data interpretation) and English (reading comprehension) to deepen learner
understanding.

Annotation:
The integration of multiple subject areas demonstrates the teacher's ability to connect
concepts across disciplines, which aligns with PPST Indicator 1.1.2. The lesson plan clearly
outlines cross-curricular objectives, and the learner outputs show evidence of
understanding through interdisciplinary tasks.
Reflection:
This experience reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary teaching in promoting
holistic learning. I plan to continue designing lessons that connect various subjects and
encourage learners to apply knowledge in real-world contexts.
