At the site of our industry, there were expected numbers of computer

systems available, each connected to main server sharing the network.
Screen projector and display setup enhanced the learning experience.

Overall, front end, back-end and middle ware layers were learned during
this period, letting us learn few programming languages

HTML
HTML stands for Hyper-Text Markup Language. It is used to design web pages
using a markup language. HTML is the combination of Hypertext and Markup
language.

Hypertext defines the link between web pages. A markup language is used to
define the text document within the tag, which defines the structure of web pages.

This language is used to annotate (make notes for the computer) text so that a
machine can understand it and manipulate text accordingly. Most markup
languages (e.g., HTML) are human-readable. The language uses tags to define
what manipulation has to be done.

HTML = Hyper Text Markup Language .It is the standard language used to create
web pages .A markup language means it uses tags (<tag name>) to structure
content.

HTML tells the browser what to display (text, images, videos, links, etc.), not how
it should look (that’s CSS’s job). Advantages of HTML

Simple and easy to learn. Supported by all browsers. Free (no software needed).

Integrates with CSS & JavaScript. Limitations of HTML Cannot style web pages
(needs CSS).Cannot add logic/interactive features (needs JavaScript).

Not suitable for complex applications alone.

CSS
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), fondly referred to as CSS, is a simple language
intended to simplify the process of making web pages presentable.

CSS allows you to apply styles to web pages. More importantly, CSS enables you
to do this independent of the HTML that makes up each web page. It describes
how a web page should look: it prescribes colors, fonts, spacing, and much more.

In short, you can make your website look however you want.

CSS lets developers and designers define how it behaves, including how elements
are positioned in the browser.

While HTML uses tags, CSS uses rulesets. CSS is easy to learn and understand,
but it provides powerful control over the presentation of an HTML document.

It is used to style HTML elements (colors, layouts, fonts, spacing, animations,

etc.).

The term “cascading” means styles are applied in order of priority (browser
default → external CSS → internal CSS → inline CSS).
Java
Java is a high-level, class-based, object-oriented programming language that
was developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems in 1995 (now owned by
Oracle Corporation). It is one of the most widely used programming languages in
the world because of its portability, security, and robustness.

Java follows the principle of “Write Once, Run Anywhere” (WORA), meaning
that once a Java program is written and compiled, it can run on any platform that
has the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), without needing modification.
Key Features of Java:
1. Object-Oriented – Everything in Java is treated as an object, which makes
programs modular, flexible, and reusable.
2. Platform Independent – Java programs run on any system that has a JVM
installed.
3. Simple and Familiar – Java is easy to learn and has syntax similar to C and
C++.
4. Secure – Provides a secure environment with features like bytecode
verification and access control.
5. Robust – Handles errors effectively and supports garbage collection to
manage memory.
6. Multithreaded – Supports concurrent execution of multiple parts of a
program, making it useful for complex applications.

Common Uses of Java:

 Web applications (e.g., Java EE, Spring Framework)
 Mobile applications (especially Android development)
 Desktop applications
 Enterprise systems
 Game development page no-13
Jsp
Java Server Pages (JSP) is a server-side technology developed by Sun
Microsystems (now Oracle) that is used for creating dynamic, platform-
independent web applications. JSP enables developers to embed Java code
directly into HTML pages, making it easier to build interactive and data-driven
web applications.
JSP is built on top of Java Servlets, which means it inherits all the power of Java,
while also providing a simpler way to create web-based user interfaces. It is
widely used in enterprise applications where integration with Java-based
backends is required.
Key Features of JSP:

1. Ease of Use – Combines HTML and Java in the same page, making it
simple to create dynamic content.
2. Platform Independent – Runs on any web server or application server that
supports Java.
3. Reusable Components – Supports tag libraries and JavaBean for
reusability.
4. Separation of Concerns – Business logic can be separated from
presentation using JavaBeans or MVC frameworks.
5. Automatic Compilation – JSP pages are automatically compiled into
Servlets by the server.
6. Integration – Can easily connect with databases, APIs, and other Java EE
components.
Common Uses of JSP:

 Developing dynamic web pages

 Building enterprise-level web applications
 Integrating with databases for displaying and processing data
 Creating customized user interfaces
 Supporting MVC frameworks like Struts, Spring MVC, etc.
 Page no-14
Servlet
A Servlet is a Java-based server-side program used to handle requests and
generate dynamic responses for web applications. It is a part of the Java EE
(Enterprise Edition) platform and runs inside a web server or application
server such as Apache Tomcat, Glass Fish, or JBoss.
Servlets act as the controller in a web application: they receive requests from
clients (usually web browsers), process the request (by interacting with databases,
APIs, or business logic), and then send back a response (often in the form of
HTML, JSON, or XML).
Key Features of Servlets:

1. Platform Independent – Written in Java, Servlets can run on any server

that supports the Java Servlet API.
2. Efficient and Scalable – Designed to handle multiple client requests
concurrently.
3. Robust and Secure – Inherits Java’s security model and supports features
like exception handling and garbage collection.
4. Portable – Applications written with Servlets are portable across servers
and operating systems.
5. Extensible – Can be easily extended and integrated with other Java
technologies like JSP, JDBC, and frameworks.
6. Lifecycle Management – Managed by the servlet container (loading,
initializing, handling requests, and destroying).
Common Uses of Servlets:

 Processing and handling form data submitted by users.

 Developing dynamic web content.
 Connecting and interacting with databases.
 Implementing the controller part of MVC architecture in web applications.
 Building APIs and backend services for Java web applications.

MY SQL

MySQL is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS)

that uses Structured Query Language (SQL) to manage and organize data. It
was originally developed by MySQL AB, a Swedish company, and is now owned
by Oracle Corporation.
MySQL is widely used for building database-driven applications because it is
fast, reliable, and easy to use. It stores data in tables, which consist of rows and
columns, and allows developers to perform operations such as inserting,
updating, deleting, and retrieving data using SQL queries.
Key Features of MySQL:

1. Open-Source – Free to use, with paid enterprise versions available.

2. Relational Database – Organizes data into tables with relationships
between them.
3. High Performance – Optimized for speed and efficiency in handling large
datasets.
4. Cross-Platform – Runs on various operating systems like Windows, Linux,
and macOS.
5. Security – Provides user authentication and access control for secure data
management.
6. Scalability – Can handle small applications as well as large-scale enterprise
systems.
7. Support for ACID Transactions – Ensures data integrity and reliability.
Common Uses of MySQL:
 Managing web application databases (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal).
 Backend database for e-commerce applications.
 Storing data for mobile and cloud applications.
 Supporting data warehousing and analytics.
 Used with programming languages like PHP, Python, Java, and Node.js.

Java script

JavaScript (JS) is a high-level, lightweight, and interpreted programming

language that is primarily used to make web pages interactive and dynamic. It
was developed by Brendan Eich in 1995 while working at Netscape. Today,
JavaScript is one of the core technologies of the web, alongside HTML and
CSS. JavaScript allows developers to add behavior to web pages, such as
responding to user actions, validating forms, creating animations, and updating
content dynamically without reloading the entire page. Modern JavaScript is not
limited to the browser—it can also run on servers (with Node.js) and in mobile
and desktop applications.

Key Features of JavaScript:

1. Client-Side Scripting – Runs directly in the user’s web browser.

2. Event-Driven – Responds to user actions like clicks, typing, or mouse
movement.
3. Dynamic Typing – Variables do not need explicit type declarations.
4. Object-Oriented – Supports objects, prototypes, and classes (in modern
JS).
5. Cross-Platform – Works on all modern web browsers and operating
systems.
6. Versatile – Can be used for frontend, backend, mobile, game, and desktop
app development.
Common Uses of JavaScript:

 Form validation in websites

 Dynamic content updates (AJAX)
 Animations and effects
 Interactive web applications
 Server-side programming with Node.js
 Game and mobile app development page no-17

Experience at Passion Software Solution

After all combined, I had an immense experience learning at Passion Software
Solution, specially because of all the guidance I received from the industry
supervisor, our mentor, class teacher, and all college staff including my friends
who were assigned for training in the same company.

Everything left a big impact on my skills in general. Even if the training was only
for six weeks, it taught me a lot more than I had expected before. From being able
to get enough help to acknowledge something that was unclear or unsolved, to
having not just technical but also social support, the experience was absolutely
memorable.

Learning the development and designing of web pages using frontend to

backend languages was one point, but the helpful environment added up to the
enhancement in the quality of the total experience I’ve had. The interactions
between us and the teacher here were the most important thing that carried us out
throughout this period.

We learned and acknowledged through a gradual process—from slower and

harder to faster and easier—because of the guidance we had. We will always be
thankful.
