Paul played for Hudson High School where he was a four-time state qualifier and left as the winningest player in school history. Paul then went on to attend Radford University where he graduated in 2011 with a Sports Administration degree. While there, Paul was a three year starter and helped Radford have a national ranking in Division I all four years as well as qualify for the NCAA Tournament for three. Paul was the pro for Walden Country Club for four years in Aurora and helped run the Hudson Community Education and Recreation for seven summers before becoming a fulltime tennis pro at Springside Racquet & Fitness Club for the past year. Brads Beginner Brigade Official Boot Camp date is Tuesday evening May 15th at 6:00pm. Kelly and I encourage all beginner golfers to sign-up for these clinics. We will be covering all the basics (long game, short game, putting, bunker play, golf course management, etiquette and rules - among other areas of the golf game). This will be a ten week program with two rain dates in August. Cost is $200.00/lady golfer. For more information, call the golf shop (330) 6668109 and ask for Brad or Kelly. Ladies Thursday Morning 18 Holer's Opening Day 1st day is Thursday May 17th. A different format will be conducted each week with weekly golf shop credit payouts. Sign up by calling the golf shop (330) 666-8109 or on the bulletin board in the ladies locker room. May shotguns will be at 9:00am, June, July and August shotguns will be at 8:30am and September is back to 9:00am. Ladies Match Play This is a two-player team match play bracket tournament played at 100% handicap. You will use the current handicap print out posted in the ladies locker room. It is the responsibility of both teams to set up each match! Sign-up will be posted in the Ladies Locker Room. Sign-up by May 26th. Brackets will be made May 28th. Matches will begin June 1st. If the matches are not completed in the allotted time, a coin toss by a Ladies Golf Committee member will determine the winner! Golf Lessons I am offering hour and hour golf lessons. hour adult lessons will be $40.00 and 1-hour lessons will be $80.00 (Buy 5, get the 6th for free). Junior lessons will be $30.00 for a hour and $60.00 for an hour (Buy 5, get the 6th for free).
Junior Golf Program The first official day of the Junior Golf Program will be Tuesday June 12th. Junior Golfers ages 5-8 will begin classes at 9:00am, ages 9-13 will begin their classes at 10:30am. Play days will take place on Friday mornings starting at 8:00am. In order to participate in the play days, juniors must be able to shoot a score of 55 for 9 holes or a score of 110 and pass a 25 question rules and etiquette test with a passing score of 72% (17 out of 25). The fee for Junior Golf will be $200.00/child. Each child will receive a Puma package consisting of a pair of shoes, a shirt and a hat as well as PGA Professional instruction.
