Advertisement for the posts of two Guest Teachers (Post 1 for UR category, & Post
Visva-Bharati.
reserved for OBC category) at the Department of Environmental Studies,

Brief biodata with all certificates and credentials should be submitted to
Environmental Studies by 5.00 PM, 19h September, 2024 in the following email:

Online/Offline selection will be tentatively held on 23rd September, 2024. Exact date and
time of selection process will be informed to the eligible candidates through e-mail.

Essential Qualification for Post No. 1

Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree (Environmental Science 7
Economics / Environmental Management) level from an Indian University, or an equivalent
degree from an accredited foreign university.

Desirable Qualification for Post No. 1

The candidate should have expertise in Environmental Economics, Environmental


Management, Environmental Law with verifiable evidence.

Essential Qualification for Post No. 2

Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree (Environmental Science /
Biological Sciences) level from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an
accredited foreign university.
Desirable Qualification for Post No. 2

The candidate should have expertise in Environmental Toxicology, Environmental


Biotechnology, Biodiversity and Conservation, Ecology with verifiable evidence.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National
Eligibility test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.
However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph. D. degree in accordance with the
University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D.
degree) regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility
condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or
equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Remuneration: Rs. 1500/- per lecture or a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month with
from the date of joining for a period of one year (excluding long vacations) or till the vacant
post is filled up, whichever is earlier).
