Welcome Delegates,
We are pleased to announce 5th Breast Imaging & Interventional Techniques (BRIIT) 2025
Conference organised by Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai.
Tata Memorial Centre is an apex tertiary referral cancer hospital in India. The Breast Imaging
and Intervention division under Department of Radiology is fully equipped with
State-of-the-art infrastructure for diagnosis and interventions such as Vacuum Assisted Breast
Biopsies (VABB) under MRI and Contrast Enhanced Mammography Guidance.
'BRIIT' is a comprehensive imaging conference to initiate basic education to Budding Breast
Radiologists as also to focus on Recent Cutting-Edge Technologies and Advances for the
Practicing Radiologists.
Theme of the Conference is….
From Controversies to Consensus - Implementing Guidelines
Advancements in breast imaging and interventions continue to evolve rapidly, guided by global
evidence-based standards. Optimal imaging choices pivoting around Mammography,
Ultrasonography, Contrast Enhanced Mammography and MRI must align with individual clinical
profiles, available resources, and personalized treatment pathways. High-risk populations also
require tailored screening and follow-up protocols that balance efficacy with affordability. The
5th BRIIT Conference will explore these critical aspects - from Basic to Advanced Imaging and
Interventions - Ensuring Comprehensive, Patient-Centric Breast Care.
This, is coupled with organizing Demonstration of Breast Interventional Techniques and a
Hands-on workshop on Tomosynthesis, Contrast Enhanced Mammography, MRI and Breast
Interventions.
With Eminent Faculty on board, the Organizing Committee invites you to a great scientific and
academic training, lectures and discussions.

Dr. Trupti Kulkarni MBBS, MRCS (Edin.), FRCR is a

Consultant Radiologist at Manchester University NHS
Foundation Trust (Wythenshawe), serving since 2013. She
trained at Grant Medical College (Bombay University),
earning an MS in General Surgery (2000), MRCS (2004),
and later attained her FRCR in 2011 following radiology
training in the UK. Her clinical expertise spans Breast,
Head & Neck Imaging - conducting one stop symptomatic
and screening clinics, image guided interventions
(Stereotactic, Tomosynthesis, MRI, Ultrasound), CT/MRI
reporting, and leading multidisciplinary team meetings.

An academic peer reviewer for Clinical Radiology, The

Breast, BMJ and others, she has contributed to trials such
as PREVENT (focused on Breast Screening uptake in South
Asian Women) and the SMALL vacuum excision study. As
Training Programme Director for the North West School of
Radiology and Education Lead for the British Society of
Breast Radiology, she serves on faculty and exam boards
(PLAB, FRCR 2B, Advanced MRI), develops online content,
and mentors consultants. Her international educational
work includes workshops and student teaching projects
across India, Singapore, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and
Ukraine.

Kuala Lampur

Dr. Maninderpal Kaur is Malaysia’s foremost expert in

breast imaging and a regional driving force behind the
nationwide adoption of Contrast-Enhanced Mammography
(CEM) and CEM-guided biopsy. As Head of Breast Imaging
at one of Malaysia’s busiest breast centres, she has
pioneered integration of AI platforms like Lunit AI and 3D
Quorum into routine workflow, elevating diagnostic
precision on a national scale.

A respected trainer and key opinion leader across the

Asia-Pacific, she has mentored Radiologists and
radiographers across seven countries and authored two
international textbooks on CEM (Springer). Under her
leadership, HKL has become a premier regional training
hub.

Dr. Kaur is an international speaker with presentations and

workshops at major congresses including SBI (Singapore),
EUSOBI (Germany), Congresso Nacional de Mastologia
(Mexico), Egyptian Breast Imaging Congress (Cairo),
BISICON (India), CEM Immersion Congress (Italy), and
others across Australia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and
Hong Kong.

Dr. Pooja Jagmohan is a senior consultant at the

Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University
Hospital, Singapore and Assistant Professor, Department
of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine
at the National University of Singapore. She heads the
Division of Breast Imaging at NUH and is NUH’s Clinic
Director and lead radiologist for Breast Screen Singapore,
Singapore’s National Breast Screening Programme and
member of the BSS operations committee. She also holds
adjunct appointment as Senior Consultant at the National
University Cancer Institute.

Dr. Pooja did her initial medical and radiology training in

India. She subsequently trained in Singapore and attained
specialist accreditation in Singapore followed by a Breast
Radiology Fellowship at the Medical University of Vienna.
Apart from clinical work she also takes a keen interest in
research including contrast enhanced Mammography and
Artificial Intelligence; and Breast Radiology Education.

Dr. Nisha Sharma is Director for Breast Screening at Leeds &

Wakefield the 14th Largest Breast Screening Unit and Consultant
Breast Radiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, Chair of
the Research and Innovation Development Access Committee
(RIDAC) for National Breast Screening Programme & Clinical
Advisor to NHS England related to Breast Screening Issues and
Professional Clinical Advisor for breast quality assurance visits.
She is passionate about using innovation to improve the patient
pathway.
She developed the national guidelines on how to manage high risk
lesions diagnosed within breast screening with vacuum assisted
excision rather than surgery, which has been adopted at a national
level and was also involved in writing the EUSOMA guidelines on
how to manage high risk lesions in Europe. This change in
pathway has meant many women can avoid a surgical operation.
She is active in research and audit. She has over 100 peer
reviewed publications. She is the radiology lead for the SMALL
trial and Tadpole trial. These trials focus on minimising
overtreatment. She is working with Artificial Intelligence looking at
AI assessment of Quality of Mammograms, Diagnostic role in 2D
and 3D Mammograms and in Ultrasound. She also has an interest
in breast density.
She conducted the first prospective trial in breast screening
looking at the impact of AI on Arbitration Rates.
She is the audit lead for the British Society of Breast Radiology,
Scientific Committee Member for EUSOBI and scores abstracts for
RSNA, ARRS, ECR, Eusobi and BSBR. She is an invited National and
International speaker, covering many topics such as high risk
lesions, CEM, DBT, Breast MRI, AI and The Axilla.
