With reference to this office letter cited in reference (3),

instructions/clarifications were issued regarding the conduct of theory

examinations, for R2023 subjects up to V Semester, for all candidates

including supplementary/grace chance candidates (i.e. equated to

R2023 subjects). With reference to this office letter cited in reference (4),

both question banks and model question papers were disseminated.

For VI to VIII semester (N/Z scheme) and subjects not equated to

R2023, theory examinations will be conducted as per that scheme (i.e.

revised examination pattern will not be applicable).

Regarding practical examinations, following categories exists:

Category - I to III (i.e. Practical Exam)

For Category I to III, there is no change evaluation pattern/procedure, in the

conduct of Practical Examination. Online randomized question paper is

applicable for all Regular & Supplementary students for all branches.

Category – IV
(R2023 Practicum Subjects whose End Exam is Theory alone)
(i.e. Theory with Task Based Practical)

For Category IV i.e. R2023 Practicum Subjects whose End Examination is

Theory, the evaluation pattern will be as per the Expert Committee’s

recommendation communicated in reference (2).

Considering the feedback received from the stakeholders and time

constraints expressed by the Head of the Institutions in training the students

to face the Online Examinations, it has been decided to administer the MCQ

component of the examination also in OFFLINE mode, as follows:

The examinations will be conducted as like other practical examinations

in batches.

The encrypted question papers can be downloaded (only in the

presence of External Examiner) from the Practical QP Download module

for each batch as configured by the Institutions and within the stipulated

time norms (i.e. +/- 30 minutes).

The randomized MCQ Questions and Short Answer Questions will be

same for a particular batch. Task-based Practical Question will be

unique for each candidate. The candidates should answer the MCQ

portion in the question paper itself. Answers for short answer

questions and task-based practical questions are to be answered in the

additional sheets. Please note, in case of MCQ questions, both questions

and options are randomized for each batch.

As a security measure, a unique login password and decryption

password for QP download will be sent to all Teaching Faculty to their

personal email id / mobile numbers. The faculty member should keep

this password highly confidential and should use these passwords to

download and decrypt the PDF files.

The above evaluation procedure is applicable to supplementary and

grace chance students also whose theory/practical subjects are equated

to practicum (theory).

After the commencement of the last batch, answer key download will be

enabled.

Both Internal & External Examiners will evaluate all components (such

as MCQ, 2 marks & 3 maks questions and task based practical question)

and will award and enter the marks (to the base of 100) in the

DipExOnline portal.

In view of the above, the Principals are requested to slot the Category –

IV practical’s (i.e. Practicum Subjects with End Exam Theory), during

Practical Examination (Slot – II) i.e. from 16.11.2025 to 23.11.2025.

Posting of External Examiner

As done in the previous Board Examinations, vide this office letter no:

DOTE/524/2025-CC1 dated 25.04.2025, the task of assigning External

Examiners to the practical panels, are delegated to Head of Flying Squads.

Details of Internal Examiner, No. of Candidates and Proposed Dates of

Examination will be updated in the DipExOnline portal by the Institutions.

Head of Flying Squads have to post External Examiner for each practical

panel and enable them, so that panels can be downloaded by the respective

Institutions.

Last Date for Submission of Code Covers

In view of increased number of practical subjects/panels, the last date of

submission of Code Covers with all other Examination Documents is extended

up to 05th December 2025 (Wednesday).

Please note that there is no change in the date of reopening (even semester).

It will remain as 24.11.2025 (Monday) only.

Hence all the Principals are requested to communicate the above instructions

to the faculty members & students and strictly
