2.2 Application Instruction


[1] This specification is applicable to the WISE18B, an independent electronic control unit of the Moteurs Baudouin common rail system. It is
based on the SAE J1939 universal protocol standard for the transfer and exchange information/instruction applications of CAN bus
communication in Moteurs Baudouin engines between different electronic control units in an engine/genset/vehicle.
[2] The CAN communication protocol and the message standard are defined in the reference. This article only deals with the information
description of some feature packets that Moteurs Baudouin engines can support. The protocols and features described in this s pecification are
in line with OSI (Open System Interconnection) standard.
[3] This specification covers the description of the data link layer, genset application layer, and fault diagnosis layer of the SAEJ1939 protocol.
The standard packet part is referenced to the reference source and the non-standard part is described in detail according to the specifications
of this specification.
[4] Moteurs Baudouin engine ECU supports high-speed CAN communication network. If there is low-speed CAN network access, the network
cabling must be performed according to the CAN communication standard, and the gateway module must be added for conversion.

2.3 Terms Definition


DLL(data link layer): Describe data communication by CAN based on CAN2.0B technical specifications.
Application layer: Describes the actual data, such as parameters or network variables with a range of values, resolution, physical units, and
transfer types.

Harness technical requirements:
 Wire diameter: 0.6 mm 2;
 The maximum twist spacing: 25 twists / m, that is, every 40 mm twist a knot;
 Line delay is less than 5 ns/m;
 The maximum bus length is 40 m, and the maximum length is 30 nodes. The minimum distance between nodes is 0.1 m.
 The distance between the node and the bus does not exceed 0.3 m;
 One end of the shielding wire is connected to the ECU ground pin, and the other end; doesn’t connect anything.
