Agreement in Number

This document provides guidelines on subject-verb agreement in English. It discusses four key points: 1. Using singular or plural verbs depending on whether the subject is singular or plural. 2. Subjects that include prepositional phrases, like "Nurses at the hospital" still take a singular or plural verb depending on the subject. 3. Relative pronouns like "who" or "that" must agree in number with the word they refer to. 4. Determiners like "this/these", "all/some" must match the number of the noun they modify.
