This document outlines a plan to implement barcode printing and scanning for inventory management at a Kuwaiti company. Barcodes will be used for incoming goods receipt, internal transfers, and quality control. There will be different barcode types for purchase orders, items, quality inspection, and stock batches. The project scope is limited to one plant currently but aims to support all material types eventually. The barcode solution will automate goods receipt, transfer posting, and process order workflows. It can be integrated directly into SAP using RFID devices and custom programs, or through a third-party barcode application requiring interface development.

to be implemented in XXX COMAPNY, Kuwait for
the effective handling of stocks incoming goods,
transfer postings, receipts from process order
This will help business to

Scope
The scope of this change is limited to XXX
COMAPNY plant, Kuwait
To include the barcode scanning and printing for
Facing materials (Material type: ZFAC), however
solution should be flexible to include all types of
materials in future.
For the scenarios of incoming goods from vendor,
transfer of goods from stores to shop floor,
mounting of materials on facing roller,
unmourning of roll from the roller.

Storing of the Code in the Internal Table
Executing the Automated Program to Post the
Goods Movement After Verification, through a
work Flow.
The verification Authority can be with the
respective supervisor.
Screen consists of Short Cuts Such as, F1, F2,
for executing the programs M1,M2,. For
choosing movements types and object type
Every single Field Entry With RFID logic is used

A direct program is required to develop, to read


the Barcode and goods movement posting.
A work flow is needed to develop if the
verification process is needed.

A barcode Printer
An RFID device to read the barcode.

Technical Process Using Gulf Barcode


Scanning of the Barcode to the external
application
Storing of the data in external application
Data input to the SAP with the Batch process
through BAPI, IDOC etc..
Need develop a program for interface, ex: IDOC,
BAPI, etc
A Z table is required to store the data for
external application processing.
Verification Process is not possible in the third
party application
Error correction program needs to be developed
separately

A server to install External Application.
