Before my first day at work, I didnt sleep
because I was really nervous. I got up early and
took a shower and had breakfast. I left home
early because I didnt want to be late and I had
to start work at 9 oclock. I got to the station,
but there were no trains because there was a
breakdown. So I took the bus to work. But the
bus took a long way and I got to work at 9:15.
Everyone was really nice about it and they
knew about the problem with the train. I started
work and everything was OK. I started to relax.
After lunch I was tired, so I had a cup of coffee. I
started to drink the coffee and then I spilled the
coffee on the computer! It was terrible!

the good fortune of being invited to the house of a friend where a

I won a weekend for two in Paris. My
girlfriend, Naomi, and I went to the
airport in a really big limousine. We
traveled first class and we had
champagne on the plane. Then, we
stayed in a very expensive hotel near the
River Seine. The weather was quite hot all
weekend, and the food and wine were
really good. On Saturday morning we
wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower, but the
queues were too long, so we had coffee
by the river. In the afternoon, we went to
the Louvre Museum. It was quite crowded
but we thought it was really interesting.
Then on Sunday I asked Naomi to marry
me and she said yes! It was a wonderful
weekend in a beautiful city.
