GSWAN
Government of Gujarat (GOG) has setup Gujarat State
Wide Area Network (GSWAN), connecting all the Districts,
Talukas and all GoG offices to the State Center
Gandhinagar.
GSWAN supports Voice, Data and Video services on the
same Bandwidth. GSWAN has been Operated by Private
Operator on BOOT basis, for a period of 8 years.

TCIL has been appointed as ‘Third Party Auditor’ (TPA)


through tendering process, to evaluate the performance of
GSWAN.

• BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) for 8 years.
• Connecting 25 Districts to State Center at Gandhinagar on
2 Mbps leased circuits upgradeable to 8 Mbps
• Connecting 225 Talukas to 25 District HQ on 64 Kbps
leased circuits upgradeable to 2 Mbps.
• Interconnecting more than 1900 GoG offices all over the
state for voice and data services.
• Video-conferencing between various GoG offices.
• Over 11000 E-mail IDs created for Government officers all
over the state.
• Over 125 Websites are hosted for various departments.

GSWAN Expansion
1. State Center
• The capacity of GSWAN exchange will be increased
from existing 300 Connections to 1000 connections.
2. District Center
• GSWAN connectivity to existing 20 offices will be
extended to 30 more offices.
• 1 port in each office will increase to 3 ports.
3. Taluka Center
• GSWAN voice connectivity to existing 2 offices will be
extended to 4 more offices.
• 1 voice connection in Mamlatdar office will increase to 3
voice connections.
