Checking procedure step by step

(considered after casting of slab)

Site: Kalpataru Grandeur,

Indore
1. Laitance removal and slurry
chipping on slab at column
top.

2. Center line and lay out


including column starter
marking.
3. Checking of Alinement,
right angle, plum from below
floor.

4. If found OK
Reinforcement binding and
Its checking for no. bars &
diameter, spacing of main
bar & stirrups.

5. Starter fixing and


checking of alignment,
dimension, right angle (as
per the drawing) cover.
6. Casting of starter and its roughing.
Its checking after De shuttering
which includes dimension and alignment
and laitance remove immediately after
De shuttering..

7. Foam fixing on sides of starter of


specified thickness and cover fixing in
three layer. 1st layer at 9 from slab
level, 3rd level 6 below top of col & 2nd
in center.

8. Electrical conduit and dummy


concealed box fixing and sleeve fixing
as per the levels and dimensions in
approved drawing. Also their rigidity
should be properly checked.
9. Shuttering checking for column.
The surface of ply should be
smooth, corners should be firm &
in good condition. Dimension
should be proper. Fixing
arrangement considering the
thickness of str. and shuttering
design. Also very important the
application of approved shuttering
oil over shuttering. Also over oiling
should be avoided.

10. Column shuttering and its


firmness, plumb, diagonal and
rigidity checking .
11. Review of scaffolding provide
for col. casting considering
safety norms. And check for pre-
required machinery to be use for
column casting. (vibrator, needle
thickness, considering structure
size etc.) also their should be no
contact between the supports of
column shuttering and
scaffolding .

12. Bonding agent application


and casting of column up to
desired level as per drawing and
its plumb check after casting too
and surface top roughening.
SLAB SHUTTERING AND CASTING

1. Column De shuttering as
per the std. striping time
and considering weather
conditions. Again checking
of column .

2. Level marking on columns


and its checking.

3. Bottom fixing as per issued


drawing and its checking.
(It includes level,
dimension and location as
per drawing.)
3. Beam side fixing and slab
shuttering.(Taping, gabdi packing,
oiling on slab and beam side.)

4. Checking of slab shuttering.


1. Side plumb
2. Slab dimension and
diagonal.
3. sleeve marking.

5. Beam steel binding and Its


checking as per drawing.

6. Slab steel binding and its checking.

7. Sleeve fixing and its check.


9. Electrical conduit fixing and
checking.

10. Layout marking and checking on


steel for ensuring cover after casting.

11. Beam outer side fixing and


checking plum from below floor & out
to out dimensions.

12. Support and spacing checking as


per approved shuttering design.
14. Consultant checking and approval (as
per working they should be priorily
informed.)

15. Concrete ordering ensuring quantity


and grade.

16. Level checking during casting.

17. Tamping of semi set concrete after 2 to


3 hrs. again to avoid the shrinkage cracks
on the surface.

17. Proper brooming on slab after two to


three hours of casting.

18 Very Imp. Regular Mild water showering


for temperature control till layout work for
next slab. and Immediate water ponding
after layout checking.
