Video On St
Bernadette
This is Lourdes,
France. This is
where Bernadette
was born and
raised.
St. Bernadette was born into a family of poverty
While very young, she contracted cholera and suffered
extreme asthma
She lived in poor health her entire life, unfortunately
She did have many apparitions of Mary while she was
collecting wood at a grotto and when she was asked to return,
though she did not know that it was Mary
Interesting Facts St Bernadette was told to make a stream to replace the mud
around the grotto for the sick and she did
(Pt 1) It is true that over a course of years, the water that replaced the
mud, cured over 69 people
She was not believed and was questioned by French officials,
and they later confirmed what she was saying was true
Bernadette asked the apparition who she was, and she
responded, "I, am the Immaculate Conception"
Bernadette was always very humble and did not want attention
for her visions or her miracles
Bernadette to remove herself from the public eye,
joined a nunnery where she spent the rest of her life
Due to unfortunate circumstances she was diagnosed
with tuberculosis at the age of 35
She left a lasting impact on Lourdes and the world by
her visons
