Full name including surname
Don’t start by saying “I myself-----”
Don’t repeat the name, if it is uttered
by the interviewer.
Say I am------,
My name is
 Don’t just tell the name of the place .
 Frame a sentence “Example : Mumbai –
I am a native of the commercial capital
of India (or)
 I was born and brought in the
educational capital of Andhra Pradesh-
Vijayawada
Don’t give the information add live to it.
 Starting from higher degree and highlight
the name of the college or institution
 Disclose the percentage of marks but
careful with awards and accolades
 Specialization
 Co-curricular(Seminars,paper presentations)
& Extra-curricular activities (social
activities)
 Research projects or case study
Teaching, Marketing, Hardware,
Software, Business etc…
I chose to be in the -------sector
because ---)
 If you are a fresher don’t mention the work
relevant experience which will lead to
unnecessary arguments/ conversations.
 First tell the interview panel how many
years of experience you have (if any)
 Mention whether the job you have done is
Regular/ temporary
 Mention Designation of the work
 Tell the name of the organization
Why are you the best candidate for the
job? Don’t tell your strengths which are
not at all related to the job/ understand
the responsibilities of the job and relate
them to your strengths.
(For example if you are skilled at
persuasion you will be successful in
being a team leader, Marketing or Sales
field, Manager etc.)
Hence find a relevant skill i.e. relevant to
the post you are applying.
Tellonly when asked
Talk only the unimportant things,
Don’t say that you don’t have weakness.
Tell your weakness first and how you
overcome it, examples like “shy” not
punctual )
For example you can say like ,” I am a
strong believer of saying “honesty is the
best policy” or “try and try till you get
success” or “shortcut to success is
always dangerous”
And for role model in your life you can
say (my father is my role model because
he is ---------)
First tell how many members are there
in your family, starting from parents to
siblings
Try not to disclose their names
Tell about only their profession/ studies/
never say my mother is housewife. Say
Homemaker
Team hobby (hockey) cricket, trekking
etc…
Frame sentences
Example (reading books, I spent most of
my leisure time in the company of books
and my favorite author is -----------------
Short-term goal,
Long term goal.
Start with short-term and end with long-
term goal
You can say…
“I have given you all the relevant
information, if you need any further
details I am ready to share with you”.
It is just like a buffet lunch introduce all
the elements and grab the interviewer by
using the words like I love cricket .
Complete the self introduction in less
than two minutes
The ideal time is 60-70seconds.
