Why TPM?
validated across hundreds of companies to deliver breakthrough results while
simultaneously transforming all employees and the workplace.
TPM provides a standard approach to improve manufacturing systems for many
years (5 years+)
TPM increases the rate of improvement, sustains the results once achieved,
transforms the workplace and develops the employees.
TPM is an enabler for improvements across the overall supply chain by providing a
reliable and flexible manufacturing system

TPM in Nestlé: A new factory management system…
Total Performance Management
TPM is a new concept of “Performance Management”
for manufacturing operations, which focuses on
maximizing the use of company resources through
elimination of all kinds of losses,
re-educating people and creating a culture of prevention
and continuous improvement with everybody's involvement
The application of TPM will
ensure higher equipment reliability and process capability and,
as a consequence, products with high quality, competitive costs
and short lead time (Speed and Flexibility).

TPM also focuses on the concept of
100% employee engagement...
Many methodologies implement projects on the largest
losses with only a small part of the organization.
I am an AM
champion –
attacking the
losses in my
work area
EVERYONE is focused on the losses in their work areas.
EVERYONE must have the tools and capabilities to attack losses.
