Chan Kong-Sang known by his artistic
name Jackie Chan, is a Chinese martial
artist, comedian, singer, actor, acrobat,
director, screenwriter, producer and voice
actor. He is known in the cinematic world
for his acrobatic fighting style, comic
timing, use of improvised weapons, and
innovative stunts, which he typically
performs himself. He has acted since the
1960s, appearing in over 150 films.
HIS LIFE
Chan was born on April 7, 1954 in Hong Kong.
His parents called him Pao-pao. Her parents
worked for the French ambassador to Hong Kong,
and Chan spent his years in the Victoria Peak
district.

Chan attended Nah-Hwa Elementary School on


Hong Kong Island. In 1960, his father emigrated
to Canberra, and Chan was sent to the Chinese
Drama Academy. Participated in an acting group.
After entered the film industry, Chan trained in
hapkido under Grandmaster Jin Pal Kim. Chan
also trained Karate, Judo, Taekwondo.

Chan joined his parents in Canberra in 1976, and


worked in a construction. A fellow builder named
Jack took Chan under his protection, and Chan
earned the nickname "Jackie"
HIS CAREER
The arduous training that Chan underwent allowed him to
develop his skills as an actor, martial artist, comedian.
Before turning 20, he had already participated in at least 25
shoots, as a double in action scenes.

After Bruce's death, Chan decided it was time to create his


own legacy. He decided that he would not imitate Bruce, but
would have his own style and that he would be comical.

Thus was born the comic cinema of martial arts. Jackie


captivated everyone by her stunts. He was acclaimed by the
entire public and conquered the hearts of millions

Another factor that catapulted Chan to fame is that he doesnt


use doubles. Jackie Chan is probably one of the celebrities
with the most accidents who has lived to count them.
