Table Tent

A table tent is a self-standing promotional display printed on heavy cardstock and folded into a triangular tent shape. It is designed to be placed on horizontal surfaces to act as a miniature billboard, usually printed in full color for maximum impact. Table tents are commonly used in restaurants, bars, hotels, and other industries to display menus, special offers, or other promotional messages. They come in standard sizes like 4x6 inches or 5x5.5 inches and can be customized. To make one, cardstock is folded and glued into a tent shape and then decorated with printed pictures or text.

WHAT IS TABLE
TENT?
 A Table Tent is a convenient, self-
standing promotional unit created from
printed and folded cardstock. As the
name implies, table tents are designed
to be placed on tables…as well as
counters, desks, or any other horizontal
surface
 Sometimes referred to as tent
cards, table tents act as miniature
billboards. As such, they are almost
always printed in full color for
maximum impact. The same
artwork can be printed on both
upright panels (so it can be seen
from either side) or each panel can
be printed with a different graphic
 Inmost cases, table tents are
constructed of heavy cardstock.
This provides the rigidity
necessary to stand upright. Die-cut
slits in the base help these units
interlock to form a free-standing
triangular “tent” shape, or they can
be joined together by some other
means, such as adhesive tape or
staples
 Table tents have widespread use
in restaurants, bars, and hotels,
where they are used to display
new items or services, special
offers, upcoming events, and
similar promotional messages.
 In addition to the hospitality industry,
table tents are also popular in company
showrooms, lobbies, checkout areas,
trade show booths…or virtually
anywhere marketing communication
might need to be displayed in a simple,
yet effective format.
 Table tents can be created in
custom sizes, though standard sizes
are generally the more economical
choice. Popular standard-sized
units include 4” x 6” or 5” x 5.5”,
which designates the dimensions of
the display panels.
How to make and fold table tent
 Things you will need:
 Use folder
 Construction paper
 Colored pictures
 Glue
 Scissor
 Ruler
Instruction:
 Decide on the size of your table tents. It
should be just the right size for the menu or
any other marketing information to fit in
and be ready legibly. Take also into
consideration the size of your available
folder . For example, with the size of 4 by 4
¼ inches, you can make two of them from
a 8 ½ by 11 inch sheet of card stock.
 Ensure that the folder is folded along the
center horizontal line. Unfold the bottom 1
½ inch margin of the tent.Apply some glue
along the lowest half inch. Bend the back of
the top margin over the glue covered edge
of the bottom margin and press. These 1 ½
inch top and bottom margins now form the
base of the table tent.
 Cover the folder with construction paper
 Design your tent card using printed pictures
of menu .
