Region-wise sales pattern is considered to give weightage for

Based on this, the Price Index (PI) for each product is
determined.
The 2007-08 share of each product in Total Long product and in
Total Flat product sales are interpolated.
Thus, we arrive at the:
Indian Long Product Price Index (ILPPI)
Indian Flat Product Price Index (IFPPI)
Based on the ratio of long to flat in total sales, the
Indian Steel Price Index (INDSPPI) is calculated
