Overpopulation

Overpopulation in developing countries has various causes and effects. Two key causes are better medical treatment leading to fewer deaths, and lack of family planning. Effects include depletion of natural resources from overuse, faster climate change due to overconsumption of gases and oil and deforestation, and unemployment and higher costs of living with too many people and not enough jobs. Concerted global action is needed to prevent overpopulation from negatively impacting the world.
