Chapter 2 – Slides Tasks
NEW SLIDE

 There are a couple of ways to add a new slide. In each


way, the slide that is currently selected is important as
the new slide will be placed after the selected one.

 The shortcut for adding new slides is ctrl-m.


TYPE OF SLIDE
 If you click the top
half of the New Slide
button, the default
Title and Content type
will be added.

 If you click the bottom


half of the button, you
will be able to select
the type of slide.
DELETING SLIDES

 There are two common ways to delete slides. Select the


slide and then

 Press the delete key on the keyboard


 Right click on the slide and select Delete Slide

 If you have a group of slides that run in sequence, you


can delete them by selecting all the slides.
MOVING SLIDES
 You can change the sequence of your slides by moving
them around your presentation.

 To move a slide in your presentation, all you have to do


is drag and drop it where you need it.
EXERCISE 1
 Type your name and class in the first slide.
 Create the second and third slide with the slide type
“Title and Content”
 Create the fourth and fifth slide with the slide type “Two
content”

 Save the file


1. Location – Desktop
2. File Name - Ch2Ex1
3. File Type – PowerPoint Presentation
EXERCISE 2
 Open a saved file
 Double Click the saved file Named “Ch2Ex1”
 Create the sixth slide with the Slide Type
“Section Header”
 Delete the second slide
 Move the last slide be the third slide

 Save 2 new files by the Save As function


 Location – Desktop > Chapter2
 File Name – Ch2Ex2
 File Type
1. PowerPoint Presentation
2. PowerPoint 97 – 2003 Presentation
