INTRODUCTION
In these slideshows will be presented information about the wh - questions. We are going to follow rules
about the “do and does” in our structures and we are going to show how to use it into a question. The
presentation will show a few examples which will try to teach as well as possible how to use them.

KIND OF WH - EXPRESSIONS:
Where: We can use where to ask for information about place.

Example:
- Where do you like to eat? I like to eat in the “Choza nautica” .
- Where does he live? He lives in San Martin de Porres.
- Where is your house? My house is in Carabayllo .

What: We can use what to ask for information about things and actions.

Example:
- What’s your favorite animal? My favorite animal is the dog.
- What kind of food do you like to eat? I like Chinese food.
When: We can use when to ask for information about what time something happens.

Example:
- When do you travel? I travel tomorrow.
- When does she come? She comes at 7:00 pm.

Why: We can use why to ask about reasons and explanations.

Example:
- Why do you study English? I study English because it’s important for our future.
- Why does your father work? My father works because he needs to feed us.
Who: We use who as an interrogative pronoun to begin questions about people.

Example:
- Who is that? My friend Cesar.
- Who do you work for? I work for my boss.
- Who’s your teacher? My teacher is Fernando.

How: We use how when we introduce direct and indirect questions. Also, we use how to introduce
questions about measurements or amounts.

Example:
- How is the weather? It’s hot.
- How often do you take a shower? I always take a shower.
- How much money do you have? I don’t have a lot of money.
- How old are you? I’m 18 years old.
EXERCISES:
