• HR DEPARTMENT:-
In Tata Steel Public Ltd., the HR department handles similar functions such as
recruitment, training, attendance maintenance, calculating the annual productivity of
individuals, manpower requirement pertaining to the product / project, compensation
package and other welfare which involves Safety of every employee of the company.

• R & D DEPARTMENT:-
Innovation at Tata Steel means that unceasingly developing latest solutions in technology,
processes and product. Achieving this needs substantial efforts in analysis and development, for which,
to remain before competitors, the cluster maintains its own analysis centres.
• MARKETING:-
Tata Steel may be a business to business complete, and has no direct
business with the buyer. In B2B selling, promotion and advertising plays a
very important role so as to extend the sales.

• PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT:-
Production is the primary function of the company and hence all other functions
are support functions. 

• FINANCE DEPARTMENT:-
Their Finance Business Partners area unit unfold throughout the cluster and their knowledgeable
recommendation guides and informs strategic and operational decision-making across all of their
functions.

• Net profit of March 2018 Rs.4169.55 Cr which is 21.04% more
than that of previous year.
• In March 2019 the profit is Rs. 10533.19 Cr which is 152.62 %
which is more than double which they got previous year.
• Due to Covid-19 lockdown the net profit of March 2020 had decreased
to Rs.6743.8Cr.

for third time in 2020.
CONCLUSION
• The Tata Steel as one of the most leading Steel and Iron manufacturing
company is not manufacturing a single product but a variety of products
such as- Agriculture products, Construction Product, Automobile Products,
etc. And sales and distribution of Tata Steels are not limited to India but to
a lot of countries.

• Tata Steels is also the main Steel and Iron producer in India which offers unrivalled
quality, lowest cost and improved productivity in India.

• The strategies of Tata Steel are totally related to adding value to the products, the branding
strategy of the products, continuous improvement in the Quality management of the products
and many more.
