PROJECT AIM
•To plan and design a
residential green building
INTRODUCTION
Green Building or Sustainable Architecture is the practice of creating structures in which the
resources are used optimally throughout the stage of development of a building. In a standard
building, there is more energy consumption, and wastage of water and high-cost bills
generated whereas in green buildings or sustainable buildings have minimal wastage of water;
optimize energy consumption, conserves natural resources that generate less waste and
provides healthier space for occupants.
In today’s era, all the construction companies are turning into Green Building where BIM
Services about ordering material that is not wasted, pollutant-free materials, energy and water
optimum consumption, etc. is important for making the building go green and attain
sustainability.
Green Buildings are designs that are made creatively to reduce the overall impact of the built
environment on natural resources and human health. It is the one that allows protection of
climate and natural environment. It also preserves natural resources and improves the quality
of life for humans.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Understanding the concept of green building design .
To Design a residentially viable green building t with cost effective
design and materials
Improve indoor air quality by orientation natural ventilation design .
Implementing rain water harvesting system with ground water
recharge as an attempt to improve regional ground water table
Using eco friendly and regionally available construction materials
Implementing solar panel for energy generation and reducing power
consumption of building
METHODOLOGY
Understanding green building
Design of green building
Structural design
TECHNOLOGIES USED :
•Passive building design
•Solar water heating
•Building integrated photovoltaic panels
•Eco friendly construction materials
PASSIVE
BUILDING DESIGN
Designing and orienting
windows ,walls and floors
to utilize direct sun light
Using direct sunlight for
heating in winter and
avoiding the same in
summer
Maximum use of natural
light for ventilation
BUILDING DESIGN
• Available built up area : 2100sq ft
• Accoding to the available builtup area of site ,we have
designed single storey building having 2BHK
• Building is designed for upper middle classed group of
people
• Plan is designed according to green building principles
PLANNING PRINCIPLES ADOPTED IN
BUILDING
• Plan is oriented facing east for maximum utilization of natural light
and ventilation
• Comparatively larger opening of windows are provided
• Ducts provided for ventilation of interior parts of building and also to
allow cross ventilation
• Balconies connection dining by French windows to enhance
ventilation and interior beauty
• Onsite rainwater harvesting and ground water recharge facility is
proposed in plan
SCOPE OF GREEN BUILDING
•Green building technology is the only
way the construction would be taken up
in future .Even In present there is no
reason why all construction in India
should not be of green concept .
Thank you
