An introduction to our project
• We are creating a group of webpages with respect to ‘Hotel & restaurant management’ which contains information related to The hotel
itself & restaurant branches under them.
• The homepage will navigate to the different sub websites.
• Which includes all the facilities (Like swimming pool, gym , etc.) and information about all the restaurant branches they have.
• As well as the sub restaurant websites will provide all the information about Name, address, menu, offers, contact, Ac/non-Ac dinning,
Which type of food is available, online services, customer care, etc.

Objectives
The objectives of our project are as shown below:
• To create an easy to use & simple website which can be accessed by everyone.
• To have various webpages to make it more comfortable & user friendly.
• To build a trustworthy & relevant website.
• To make a website which can fit upon any device. (Responsive design)

Problem statement
In traditional booking system it becomes very difficult for the customer to visit the resort especially if the user lives at a distant
location from the resort. Also it becomes difficult for the authorities to manage the booking system as it is a very tedious task. Our
system helps the customer to carry out these functions without visiting the resort as well as the resort authorities can well manage
the rooms and table availability on a specific date very easily and quickly. Which leads to a lot of saving of time and energy.

Project Scope
• A fully functional website which contains all the information about a particular Resort and the facilities provided by the resort.
• From where the users can get all the pictures and information about our Resort & restaurants at home.
• They can get the information about available rooms & tables as well as they can book party-plots for their events OR get the
prices/rents from a single place.

Motivation
• Motivation behind the Hotel and restaurant management system is that it will help people to reserve table, find all the relevant
information and pictures about the resort, confirm room bookings or contact the resort authorities to solve any queries which they
have in mind from the comfort of their home.
• Our main motive is to save customers’ time and energy as they don’t have to travel to the resort and can perform all the bookings
easily from their home.

Functional Requirements
• As a user, I would expect that every function, text/check boxes and navigation forms in the website should work properly.
• The forms which contains data should be trustworthy & verified.
• Booking system - A responsive and easy to use booking system will allow the users to reserve table and book rooms from the comfort
of their home.
• Location Tab - A feature which will show the location of the resort to guide the user to the location using google maps.
• Contact us form - A feature which will enable the user to communicate with the resort authorities and clear any doubts and queries
which the user have.
• Subscription form - A feature which will enable e-mail subscription of the user so that the user can receive all the relevant
information about the resort on their e-mail account.

Non Functional Requirements
Software quality attributes :
• Availability: The rooms, food & the facilities should be available as many customers are doing advance reservations. Also our
website is available on all devices and we just have to type domain name to access it.
• Maintainability: The administrators should maintain & update all the information on the sites, such as Room/Table availability, etc.
• Usability: The restaurants should have all the available items. Also, Our resort should have all the types of facility to satisfy our
customer.
• Interoperability: All the websites are accessible from a single page.
• Adaptability: This is an adaptable website and can run on any operating system with minimal hardware requirement (2 GB RAM)
which include any web browser which supports HTML5 AND CSS3.
• Portability: This is a portable website which can run on any device such as Desktop computer, Laptop and mobile phones.
• Cost/Time saving : Our website saves the cost & time of the user as user don't need to go at our hotel-restaurant personally & thy
can get extra offers online.

Other Requirements
• Server - Minimum hardware requirements:
Minimum 2 gb of ram requirement & Any of the operating system from Windows, linux or MacOS.
• Server - Minimum Software requirements :
A simple text editor to write HTML & CSS and any browser to run the code.
HTML 5 & CSS 3.
• Client Device :
Any system having at least 2 gb of Ram, a web browser & network connection.
