WHAT IS NARRATIVE ?
• According to Anderson (2003), Narrative is a text
that tell story in the past. It is an imagination/fiction
story.

• According to Rebecca (2003), Narrative text is
a text which relates a series of logically and
chronologically related events that are caused
or experienced by factors.

The Story of Lake Toba
Temporal Once upon a time, there was a man who

caught a big golden fish in his trap. It was the
biggest catch which he ever had in his life.

earthquake followed by non-stop pouring rain. The
whole area got flooded and became Toba Lake. She
turned into a fish again and the man became the island
