Domain and Range

The document discusses finding the domain and range of various mathematical relations. It provides examples of finding the domain and range of functions presented as sets of ordered pairs. It also shows how to find the domain and range of functions expressed as equations, considering restrictions based on radicals, fractions, and solving for variables. The key steps are to find the domain by determining all possible inputs, and to find the range by determining all possible outputs through solving for variables.

DOMAIN AND RANGE

Mr. JOSE A. LEUTERIO JR.
Subject Teacher
DOMAIN
is the set of first
coordinates.

RANGE
is the set of second
coordinates
Presented below are some restrictions to
consider when finding the domain and range
of some functions that involve the following:

Radicals with even indices: Radicands must

be nonnegative (i.e. radicand is greater than
or equal to zero

Fractions: Denominators must not be equal

to zero.
Find the domain and range of the
following relation.
