Indoor Installation
Indoor unit installation – Instructions

 Choose the right position to hoist

the indoor unit to make sure the
ventilation of inlet and outlet is
fluent
 All indoor units must be hanged
in horizontal, Gradient is NOT
allowed
 Use level meter to keep the
indoor unit horizontally .
Reduce the running noise
Avoid the condensate water spill
from the water pan

 Supports must be strong enough. 4 Supports

for indoor
The supports should be full thread
unit
hooks, and their diameters should
be ≥ 10mm.

Outdoor Installation
Outdoor unit installation
Caution:
1 、 The unit should be placed far away the flammable, explosive or oily place.
2 、 The noise and the outlet air should not affect the neighbors.
3 、 There should be enough space for air inlet, air outlet and maintenance around
the unit. Fluent ventilation and good heat release. If there is obstacle above the
unit, it must be over 2m away from the air outlet, or there should be extended duct.
4 、 The floor and the steel bracket should be strong enough to afford the 1.5 times
heavier than the unit running weight. The floor and the steel bracket should be
horizontal.
5 、 The floor should be over 100mm higher than the ground, and there should be the
drainage around to ensure the unit not being immersed in the water.
6 、 The unit should be fixed firmly with the anti-vibration cushion.
7. 、 The outdoor should be as near the indoor as possible. Shorten the pipe and
decrease the bend pipe. Pipe length can not exceed the permitted range.
8 、 Try best to install the outdoor units on the same horizontal level, even if different
level for outdoor units is allowed in service manual.

2- You must clean the pipe end inside after cutting.
3- The pipe must be sealed before welding or flared. MAKE SURE the
pipe inside is dry, clean, no leakage.

Connection: brazing !!!
• Nitrogen MUST be used to avoid brazing slag.
• Pressure of nitrogen charged is 0.2 bar.
• Leave only one exit where is brazing point. The others branch should be
sealed.
Refrigerant pipe installation
Cleaning the pipe:

 Purpose: eliminating dust, water vapor and oxides caused by welding.

 Note: the solid can not be eliminated, so please store the pipes carefully
to prevent the solid entering.
 Method:
1. Flush the pipe with 0.5 MPa Nitrogen
2. Block all the nozzles of the pipes
3. Use your hand to block one of the nozzles
4. When the pressure is too high to block, then
remove your hand
5. Repeat the step 3 and 4 to each nozzle
6. After flushing seal all the nozzles
Refrigerant pipe installation
Cleaning the pipe:

 Procedures
From far to near (sequence: ①-②-③-④-⑤-⑥ )

⑥ ⑤ ④ ③ ①

 Note
1. When flushing one pipe, the other pipes need to be sealed.
2. After flushing, remember to seal all the pipes.
3. Suggest to do the leakage test for piping works before connecting to
outdoor and indoor units

Heat insulation
• You should cover the heat insulation after pipe joint and before you put the
pipe on the position.
• The heat insulation thickness specs. as following:

• Enlace the tape to protect the insulation.

Refrigerant pipe installation

 The insulation of liquid pipe and gas pipe must be separately insulated

 Liquid pipe shall be heat insulated at all times and the only exception

when the customer is totally sure the unit will only deliver

COOLING.
Refrigerant pipe installation

 The insulation work must be done to every part of the refrigerant

 Note
1. If the gradient < 1% , then select drainage pipe with bigger

2. The length of drainage pipe should be as short as possible
3. The drainage pipe should be independent with other water pipe
4. Never put the drainage pipe together with dirty water pipe

Drain pipe installation

To avoid the water flow back to the indoor unit, the branch pipe from the
drainage pan should be connected to the main pipe from the top.

To avoid the bending, supporter must be installed with the drainage pipe.
The distance between each supporter for horizontal pipe should be 1~1.5m.

Leakage test

If there’s 1℃ difference in temperature, there will be 0.01 MPa difference in pressure.

Correcting formula:
actual value = pressure when finish charging +(current temp. – temp. when finish
charging) × 0.01MPa

 For example:
Temp. when charging N2: 24 ℃

N2 pressure when charging: 4.05 MPa

Temp. after 24 hours: 22 ℃
N2 pressure after 24hours
= 4.05 MPa + (22 ℃-24 ℃)×0.01 MPa/ ℃
= 4.05 MPa -0.02 MPa
= 4.03 MPa
If the actual pressure after 24hours is lower than 4.03 MPa, you need to check
whether there’s leakage or not.
Vacuum system

 Purpose : remove the air and water in the system.

 Necessary tools : vacuum pump (displacement: 4L/s or more)
 Vacuum degree: less than -755mmHg(-0.1MPa)

Don’t open the valves of outdoor unit when vacuuming

After 3 hours, if the vacuuming degree can not reach -755

mmHg or less, the system need to be checked

Vacuum dry from liquid side and gas side simultaneously

Additional Refrigerant Charging

 Additional refrigerant charging procedures:

Calculate necessary amount of additional refrigerant according

to the additional charging requirement in Selection software
report

Make sure the leakage test, vacuum dry, pipe insulation has
been finished

Charge refrigerant to the outdoor unit from Liquid side. The

amount of additional refrigerant must refer to the calculation
result in the 1st step

 Note:
1. Over much refrigerant will cause liquid harmer.
2. Record the actual amount of additional refrigerant for further
