Basic Principles of Graphics and Layout

Here are some sample posters I created using principles of design discussed: [POSTER 1] Stop Illegal Drugs [image of drugs being flushed down toilet] Drugs destroy lives and families. Say no to peer pressure and make the healthy choice for your future. There are always alternatives to turning to drugs - talk to someone you trust. Your life has value; protect it. [POSTER 2] Protect Our Environment [image of forest being cut down] Mining destroys natural habitats and pollutes our land and water. We all depend on the earth for survival. Future generations deserve clean air and water too. Demand sustainable practices that balance development and conservation. Our planet is too

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF

GRAPHICS AND
LAYOUT
Before the era of computers,
drawings and illustrations that are
used for communication has to be
done manually. Advertising back then
was energy, money and time-
consuming for it has to be done
with full human effort requiring a
long period of time and a substantial
amount of money.
As technology advanced, imaging
and design advanced well.
Technology paved the way for the wide
use of digital art. The availability of
various illustration and image
editing software make digital
work easier and more captivating.
